Sadly the bike shop is now out of business as the owners retired and went on to other things. It's a liquor store now. TC and her family were the most reliable bike shop owners I had ever met. I went for service, new bikes and to shmooze. Best of luck to Anthony and Mike.

I bought my bike last November and the staff was more than helpful in making a sale. However, they don't seem very interested in my return business whenever I bring it in for repairs. In fact, they flat out lied to me. I had recently been in a recent accident. The bike was banged up a little, and the rear wheel was wobbly. I told the owner is suspected the axel was bent. It was a busy Saturday, and there were alot of new customers there to buy expensive bikes. I was pushed aside and made to wait, even though there were 3 mechanics doing nothing working in the back. They took the bike in back, and I came back a while later to pick it up. All seemed well. The owner told me they replaced the axel, and that it was bent. He charged me 35.00 to replace the axel, and said that he threw the old one away. I didn't think anything of it, and left. A few days later, however, the wheel became wobbly again. Over this past summer, while on vacation in CT, I took the bike to a reputable bike shop in CT. They told me the axel was bent! I told them my story, and they ASSURED me that this was the original axel, and was never changed, and that the previous shop had just made some type of quick repair. I can honestly say I will NEVER go back to Bay Ridge Bicycle World. I was blatantly ripped off. They are more than happy to sell you a new, expensive bike, but their business practices are very shady, if not illegal.
