STAW AWAY!!! I went to this establishment with my wife, and two sons along with another couple and their two boys. The food was ok nothing special and the service was good. When the bill came we all left our usual 20% tip and thanked the waitress and left. A few days later we noticed on our credit card statement that we were billed twice for our dinner. We figured honest mistake we will contact the restaurant and correct the changes. After my wife contacted the manager ( Mark) at Clark Lake Golf Course we explained and he put her on hold and then came back and stated he only sees one charge for the dinner and a 18% automatic tip along with an additional 20% tip. I was like what? Not only were we double charged for the meal gratuity was already included! The waitress never notified us of this at any time during or after the meal! We tipped $38.00 for a $100.00 Meal as well as the couple we were with.

The waitress made A TOTAL $76.00 TIP. For a $200.00 dinner!!!

It was obvious she did not notify us the tip was included on purpose in hopes we would miss it on the bill. I told ( Mark) I would like to be refunded the additional tip we left as well as the double charge for the dinner. Mark said he would check into it with his merchant account (Credit Card Processing) and get with the owner about the tip and let us know. What Mark doesn’t know is we are business owners as well and we have a merchant account. You will batch at the end of every evening and you know nightly of your settlement does not match. They would have been over that night and noticed it. If not they have poor accounting and they can still access their merchant account and see the overage. In any case I never heard back from Mark as promised so I called him back and asked what the status was and he stated he does not see the second charges and for me to dispute the charges with my bank. He also told e he talked to the owner about the additional tip and he said well...they signed it!

I then became unglued at this point as I could not believe the way they were treating a customer I was shocked to say the least. I told him I will be disputing the charges and letting everyone know how they treat their customers! He then told me...

"When i go to dinner I look at the bill to see if gratuity is included" I told him when I go to dinner and gratuity is included the wait staff notifies you at the beginning or end of the meal so you know in advance not be hush hush and hope they get a double tip. That is horrible! And for him to defend his staffs action is worse. There staff should have standing orders to let customers know. This restaurant is horrible and so is owner on down to the manager and wait staff. You can clearly see they are a reflection of the owner on down. All this trouble for a $18.00, additional tip and the double charge at dinner. What a hack for restaurant

It’s a wonder they still exist! If there business practices stay the course they will fall. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! LIARS AND THEIFS!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!
