Warren Clinic Urgent Care-Kenosha

Went in a few days ago due to domestic violence and wanting to be looked at and report my injuries as this is important when going through domestic violence and to the future of your case if a person wants to press charges. It was literally a ghost town when I showed up and so they were not even close to busy. The lady at the check in desk asked what happened and I told her that my husband had hurt me and showed her my injures, which she then looked at me kind of surprised and stated "well when you get to the room you better not tell them that or they will not see you but rather send you to the ER". I asked her why and she didnt have any answer other than thats just what they do with these sorts of things. I have private insurance so money wasnt a problem. I have no air conditioning in my vehicle and only 1 window that rolls down and it was 95 degress outside. The closest hospital emergency room is is 20 min or more from my home and the the urgent care is less than 10 min plus my injuries were not life threatening thus the reason for coming here.. This is one reason why so many women stay in domestic violence situations. They can never be heard.
