Founded in 1985, The Mount Auburn Cambridge Independent Practice Association Inc. (MACIPA) is an organization developed by its physicians to enable them to deliver patient care. Based in Brighton, Mass., it provides a wide range of services, such as case management at Mount Auburn Hospital for patients, discharge planning, pharmacy management, data and reporting, contracting, referral management, community case management, utilization review and information services. The Mount Auburn Cambridge Independent Practice Association (MACIPA) is the physician organization affiliated with Mount Auburn Hospital (MAH) and the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA).
