I was a guest at a wedding on July 18th, 2009, that had a cake from Luigi's. It was the worst tasting cake I ever had....it was definitely stale...I have baked for 40 years and know a stale cake when I taste it; hard, dry & no taste. VERY, VERY disappointed considering they are suppose to have one of the best reputations in the state of CT!!!!! Would NEVER consider ordering a cake from them!!!!



This cake was VERY COSTLY......A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!! THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF WITH A COUPLE OF TASTY SHEET CAKES CUT UP IN THE KITCHEN AND A PRETTY DUMMY CAKE FOR PICS!!!!



GREAT RECOMMENDATION: THE FLOUR GARDEN, WOODBURY CT.....THE BEST CAKES YOU WILL EVER TASTE....ALL FRESH, NATURAL INGREDIENTS.....BAKED FRESH....I HAVE USED THEM NUMEROUS TIMES AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED.....REASABLE PRICES....BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED....WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH!!!!!

We have gone to this bakery for years, to include our wedding cake and cakes for other occasions. There is no pastry shop like them. They are also very good in terms of ordering goods to be delivered to restaurants and parties. They have always gotten a delivery to the right place on time. I especially recommend their rum cakes and their cannolis, but everything is great.



We don't live nearby any more, but any time we are in the area, we go there to get some pastries. You have to try them out! The service is great, even for long distance orders over the phone.

ORDER AN ITALIAN RUM CAKE FOR SON'S 24TH BIRTHDAY. I HAVE NEVER LIKE THIS TYPE OF CAKE, BUT HAVE TO SAY THIS WAS THE BEST CAKE I HAVE EVERY EATEN. EXCELLANT IS THE ONLY WAY TO DISCRIBE THEIR BAKED GOODS. JUST ORDER ANOTHER ONE FOR MY HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY, AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BECOME A TRADITION IN OUR FAMILY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BAKERY.
