General Info: The Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging is a private, nonprofit corporation that was established in 1974. The agency offers a variety of funding support services, such as nutrition, in-home, legal, health, adult day care and transportation. The Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging operates several outreach and community social services, such as Coordinated Assessment & Referral For the Elderly, Greenwich Social Services and Senior Services Coordinating Council in Bridgeport, Greenwich and Stratford in Connecticut. The agency awards grants and contracts to several community-based, in-home supportive social, disease prevention, health promotion and medication management services. In addition, it serves clients in Westport, Monroe, New Canaan and Wilton in Connecticut.
