Pawn Masters

The absolute worse pawn shop in Mississippi. They never buy anything, they will ONLY buy if they know you. I hate this place will never ever try again, neither will my family nor friends.

While they do have some pretty interesting items here, they are very rude to customers and employees. James (the owner) is a short, fat scumbag who can’t pay his creditors. His wife? or girlfriend? is just as a terrible person. There was drama here everyday and they can’t keep any employees because James and Kesha are psychotic.

A guy name James works here and he was soooooo rude and impatient with a potential customer on the phone (my father)who was trying to sell some of his precious items to that guy and his company......the owner!!!! Of course my father is elderly so it may have been hard for him to understand the process but that does not excuse Mr. James telling him "he's trying to be nice but he don't have time to talk to him on the phone ". Really? Well you shouldn't have answered the damm ph. Learn some manners and respect your elders Mr. JAMES with a bad attitude !!! Don't even deserve 1 star!

In August 2014 I purchased an estate lot through Pawnmaster’s eBay operation. The lot specified free shipping, which was confirmed several times before purchase. It was a large lot that required shipping by freight, which apparently was outside their experience, so I suggested the freight broker I use on a regular basis. (Arranging similar freight is part of my day job) The shipment arrived AOK, and all seemed well.



Imagine my surprise when, in closing out the year’s business, I was presented with an overdue bill from the shipping company that was never paid. In order to maintain good relations with an important business resource, I paid it personally and called Pawnmasters for an explanation and reimbursement.



I have spoken with both David, who handles their eBay and internet sales, and James the owner. Both have acknowledged that they should have paid the shipping and agreed that it needs to be taken care of. I have emailed copies of the shipping invoice, submitted requests through PayPal (the original payment method), confirmed proper email address and made multiple phone calls.



At every turn for the last month and a half I have been stonewalled, avoided and dismissed for an acknowledged debt that could easily be solved with thirty seconds of typing. I have called and been told that the person I needed to speak to was 1) not in today 2) in a meeting 3) with a customer and 4) on vacation - all in the same day. When I finally did get someone to look into it, I was told that what was said, what I had been told and what had been published weren't really what they meant.



In a competitive industry that relies on reputation, integrity and trust, Pawnmasters fails on all three. I would have to recommend that anyone who might deal with them, not. Or at the very least double and triple check everything, get cash up front and CYA

Ken at Pawn Masters was very Professional and had the Shotgun I've always wanted ordered in 2 days. The whole Staff was extremely helpful and never was I ignored like most other Pawn Shops I visited. I highly recommend them.

I stopped by to look at the jewelery, and found an amazing bridal set. The sales women were very nice. They gave me a very nice price. I have not seen a ring that could compare to this in price and quality. Pawnstars Of Mississippi is more of a fine jewlery store than a pawn shop to me. I hope to purchase this set and I will be telling everyone where I bought it from.=)
