This massage incorporates a variety of techniques including trigger point therapy, myofascial/positional release, stretching, range of motion evaluation, and hot and cold therapy. Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage is beneficial for treating injury or strain to muscles. It can reduce pain, increase range of motion, relieve muscle spasms, and improve circulation. Included with the Therapeutic Massage is a free shoulder evaluation. Deep Tissue - Sports Massage Massage should be an important part of any athlete's care. Pre-activity and post-activity massage are both available. Pre-activity massage helps loosen muscles and prevent injury. Post-activity massage focuses on muscle relaxation, tight muscle relief, dealing with muscle strain, and aids in recovery from injury. Hot stones are often incorporated to relieve tight muscle spots. Hot Stones Massage Hot stone massage therapy promotes deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, heated stones at key points on the body. The massage therapist may also hold the stones and use them to massage certain areas of the body. The warmth of the hot stones improves circulation and calms the nervous system.
