Horrible and unsafe. Constantly broke the lease by not informing me of showings, inspections, and other entries to the premises. On one notable occasion I was late for work because I found out one hour before they arrived that there was a showing. On another a 6'0' man walked in while I was sleeping, didn't identify himself, and refused to leave when asked.

The apartment itself is falling apart - literally, on some occasions. The closet door, which I can now say is heavier than it looks, fell off and jammed my hand between it an the wall. Go elsewhere if you can.

Avoid Avoid Avoid Four Star on the Hill. After hearing multiple horror stories about this company’s abuse towards their customers, I had still given Four Star on the Hill the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, Aaron Mumford (manager) WILL take your time, and take advantage of you and your group. Aaron repeatedly tried to sweep hidden fees under the rug for our lease. Four Star on the Hill even tried to get our group to sign a lease without even letting us read it. Seriously. When will someone take action against these notorious Boulder crooks?

The process was super easy when it came to signing my lease! 10/10 recommend for people looking for places on the hill :)

VERY DISHONEST

This is a very dishonest and unethical company. There is a 100% probability that you will not get your security deposit back. There is also a very high probability that you will be assessed fees and unimaginable penalties for anything they they decide to make up. The properties are pig sties and not well maintained, but they will charge you for a mess that was originally there, when your lease ends. In some cases, the rentals are actually unsafe. I cannot believe that legal action has not been taken against this company yet. Perhaps more complaints need to be made to the state.

They are the worst realty in Boulder. Never rent a house to them. They just don't care, they lie and only want your money.

Fourstar is the worst rental company to use. It is a scam operated by a bunch of inexperienced crooks. They hide additional fees from its tenants by taking advantage of first time students renters. They add on additional fees throughout the year. When I went to dispute fees, they told me they "didn't have time" to deal with my issues. They also would send people into my apartment without prior notice or permission. If your okay with strangers coming into your place without you there, paying additional fees, uncooperative property managers, and not getting your security deposit back then this is the company to use

I lived in an apartment that was managed by four star last year. Not only did they NEVER respond to maintenance requests until weeks later (if at all) even when we called the emergency line, but we had faulty appliances that we're never fixed. Our washing machine ripped up a lot of our clothes and leaked out into the hallway and they refused to replace it. Our ac was broken for OVER A MONTH in the summer before they finally fixed it. And that's not the least of it-now they're charging US $4000 in damages when we left the place spotless. I lived with two other girls-and we were all very neat and never even had a party. We didn't even make $100 in damages. Now we're hiring a lawyer to settle this. Please for your sake never rent from these people-they try to rip of college students. They should be out of business.

We signed a lease for Buffalo Canyon and we're told the apartments are undergoing complete renovation and how nice they would be, the reality, rundown, no air conditioning and tiny rooms. I would not believe anything they tell you, they are willing to blatantly lie and they basically say that they aren't obligated to provide accurate information about the properties. Do not trust these guys

My daughter has lived at a four star property for the last year in Boulder, it has been a wonderful, safe, clean place for her to further her education and career. Four Star and Scott were always prompt in attending to repairs, helped with any noise or nearby construction concerns and returned phone calls quite promptly when we had any questions. We would rent from them again if there were properties available, but they go very quickly. THANK YOU!

Never rent from them, run down house, nothing fixed. Of course they will not do anything about it! No help, health risks IN THE HOUSE!!!! Great company, i must say...

I put all my trust in these guys and they came through, you can't find anyone better in Boulder!!

It was time for us to buy a house, as we decided we had enough with renting. We sat down with an agent from 4 Star and he really listened and showed us only homes that fit. Every one of them seemed great in their own way so it was a tough choice. We had help all the way through closing and we love our new home. We are grateful to all involved who helped get us here.

I have a new respect for Four Star since they hired a person who is very helpful and nice. The whole staff is very efficient and kind, two traits that other realty companies lack.

I rented for half a year from these guys in east boulder a half a year after I graduated and don t have a bad thing to say about these guys.

I have rented from probably most of the property management companies in Boulder and Four Star has got to be one of the best ones. It was great to do business with them.

My partner and I are owners of a large amount of student housing properties. Four Star has reliably kept watch over them and making sure things run smoothly and we get paid monthly. We trust them to handle regular maintenance, and larger repairs are always run by us first with several bids every time. We don't have to deal with the tenants either. Their book keeping methods are also very easy to understand and follow. Thanks to Four Star, these properties are the the strongest investments we have in our portfolio.

Four Star has a great maintenance department. They manage a property for me and I wanted to remodel it, and they were such a huge help throughout the entire process. They helped me choose the best option out of three bids, and kept an eye on the workers to make sure we got exactly what we were paying for. The house looks amazing and the improvements allowed us to increase the rent!
