Established in 1972, Greater Boston Chinese Golden Age Center is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of services for Chinese-speaking Asian senior citizens. It offers various health care, nutrition, outreach, transportation, congregate housing and drop-in social services. The organization administers the Senior Community Service Employment Program, which includes health care information and training and employment opportunities for senior citizens. Its health education program features news, presentations and information updates on a monthly basis through registered nurses and doctors. The agency also participates in a variety of recreational and educational activities, including story telling, language classes, crafts, occupational therapy, gymnastics, and therapeutic and osteoporosis prevention exercises.
