want a stale biscuit, go in after breakfast, or the drive thru anytime. they cook in the morning and steam the leftovers for drive thru, and carryout, all day. As a matter of fact, i overheard the manager telling an employee not to throw away stale food, but to save it for drive thru.
the biscuits on the weekend are bad even at breakfast
on the other hand, ive also had the best biscuits of my life there, weekday mornings are the best, even at the drive thru
when you buy a biscuit there that is stale, take it back and they will steam some other stale ones for you, i would suggest to just go somewhere else after 9am
you'd think that biscuits, which are what i like the best about most bojangles, could be made fresh all day. Apparently, waste not want not is the theory of the day here, but if i wanted dry brittle biscuts on the outside and soggy on the inside, i'd just eat breakfast at my mother in laws, and save a couple of bucks.
the lack of consistency is what really gets me. how can they bake the best biscuits and the worst biscuits?
it was snowing yesterday a saturday, i really wanted a great biscuit, i think i got leftover biscuits from friday or something. anyway, i went at 7:20 am thinking that at least the food would be fresh, nope..... what a waste of time and money. i wish there was a way to call ahead and ask if they are good now, then id know. i tried that, the lady said our biscuits are always fresh. Sure she gets minimum wage to say that, but why not be honest to the customer because i am helping pay her wage by eating there.
i think bojangles forgets this is a small town, and people in boone arent stupid. we tend to remember things like being able to play hockey with our breakfast. if you go by bojangles after 6pm you'll see that no one from boone is there, we know better,
ive complained to management, ive complained to corporate headquarters, and let me tell you how much good that did. ok, it didnt do any good at all, seems that was a waste of time too.
lately, and i dont know why, but when you pay for your meal at window 1, you can see your food hanging out of window 2, even in the rain, even in the snow like yesterday. I guess while they are trying to save a couple of bucks on biscuit flour, they are trying to make sure you dont actually stop at window 2, just grab your meal and get the heck out of there before you notice how hard your biscuits are.
so yesterday, i got a snowy cold stale biscuit, yuck.
if i leave with one or two parting words, they have to be, "save it for drive thru" i think that will sum up this bojangles perfectly
