Apex Fencing & Local Moves

Terrible moving company! I can see why there are good reviews because Brian Smith (the owner) is very friendly as long as nothing goes wrong. The movers he sent to do our moving were young and incompetent (he met them for the 1st time the morning of the move at my house). They did over $1000 of damage to our house alone (wood floor damage and holes in walls) and when we unpacked our furniture at our new house almost every piece of wood furniture was damaged (wood stacked on wood without furniture pads between them), we had holes in the upholstery of our couches and the hinge of our dryer door was bent and unable to close. It took Brian 7 weeks (with a lot of phone calls from me) to get the wood floors in our house fixed. It's now 12 weeks later and the holes in the wall are still not fixed and he is refusing to take any responsibility for the damaged furniture. Don't let the initial impression of Brian fool you into using this company. You may get lucky and have no damage, but if you do have damage don't expect any compensation.



Along with these issues, Brian quoted me one price and then tried to charge me hundreds more than what he had said, the movers were 40 minutes late and then had to wait for Brian who was another 15 minutes late, Brian was an hour late the next day to come see the damage that had been done to the house (I called him 5 times during the move and he didn't respond until he said it was too late to come by). I could go on and on.....



Don't trust the reviews on the website Movinghelp.com. I tried to write a review there, but they only allow reviews within 60 days of the move and with moves that have been fully paid for. This is 3 months later now and we still have damage to our home that has not been repaired, so Apex has not been paid by us.
