Hill Country Animal League

I took my two female pits to be spayed and wasn't greeted at all when I came in then had to wait a while then they made me weigh both of my dogs by my self no help while one of the ladies stood there an watched while I struggled then they presumed to make me put them in the cages by myself as well. When I came to pick up they had given my dog a rabies after I told then multiple times that she had had it an even offered to show her the record to which she declined. As far as their survey went it was great especially for the low income price. But it doesn't end there I took my two males to be nurtured an it was a complete disaster and dissapointment they completely butchered my babies they gave one of my dogs stitches then DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME ( which have to be taken out in a week) if I wasn't a vet tech I would not have know that. (I'm sure this isn't their first time doing this) when I got them they were already bleeding then they had the nerve to tell me that they were chewing on them selves charge me for two cones then NOT EVEN PUT THEM ON. End result I guess you get what you pay for. Terrible customer service. To top it off I called them to ask about the stitches in which she tried to argue with me an tell me that their were none I sent her a pic. An she finally said ok there there but i don't know why I'll have to ask the vet. To this day I have not gotten a call. Never go here if you love your dogs

This place is the Best place to take your animals. I took my dog here to get her spayed and they were really friendly and my dog didnt get scared at all when she was in their care. Also they had the best price for services. Everywhere else was charging a lot more for the exact service. The staff here is also friendly. I will bring my next pet to this location again. I recommend you come to this location. Also they have a thrift store right down the road on bandera rd. which all the proceeds go to this animal league. I the thrift store out and great prices. So to wrap up my review, THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR ANIMALS!!!!! THEY ARE REALLY FRIENDLY :)

This organization was really exceptional when I brought my dogs in to be spayed and neutered. My female had no problems what so ever. The male, which I rescued from down the street (renters left him and 6 cats behind) had complications due to his previous care (or lack thereof) and his blood was not cloting and caused me great distress and he needed further medical care. The manager/owner was very considerate of my emontional distress and helped out in every way possible. When the vet across the street couldn't help due to a conv/program of some type, she called the other vet in town and drove us to the vet and made all the arrangements possible causing me no further distress. She gave me further help and care that was needed for my dog and also later I met the Dr. which preformed the surgery and her concern for my dog Shadow was also very geniune. It has been some time since this ordeal happened and I am still today very appreciative and greatful for all their help. It's nice to know there are still kind hearted people out there when ones means of living isn't the best, and these people went out of their way to help us.

I called about an baby deer in which I assumed it was abandoned, they told me if the deer was outside my front yard for longer then two hours it just might; otherwise it was just recently born and we were to leave it alone and put it back where I found it. They gave me another number if it was and I'm glad that they gave me the correct number for my problem rather then "I'm sorry I can't help you"
