Yamato Japanese Steakhouse Inc

I tried this place about 5 years ago and wasn't impressed at all but I decided to give it a second chance and all I can say is WOW! I ordered a pick 4 from the menu and got triple steak and one vegetable serving with some rice. All of it was top notch but the veggies really shined trough! The veggies might have been the best veggies I've ever tried in my entire life! The service was also great and they have a decent beer selection. All in all I would recommend Yamato's to anyone who enjoys hibachi style cuisine!

I will not ever be eating there again. I ordered the chicken&vegetables and my chicken was raw inside and the "vegetables" I have to pay $4 more for were just mushrooms. I was/am really concerned about the raw chicken however because both myself and my two year old were eating it and could not get salmonella-thanks for that.

Yamato has pleasant, freshly-made stir-fry meals (we went for lunch), but it is Not a real Japanese restaurant. If you're dreaming of sushi, you'll be disappointed. Lots of our friends Love it, but they're looking for simple, Americanized (bland) "asian-style" food - nothing exotic or truly authentic- and that's what they get. Nice for a bite if you're in the area, but not worth an hour's drive in my opinion.
