If you go for a regular yearly visit, make sure you make that clear, because if you complaint about anything else it gives them the excuse of filing under medical, so they can get more money from you, since your medical won't cover yearly exams and you have to cover your deductible, if you haven't done that yet, before they pay anything toward your bill. I went in for a yearly exam, that was supposed to cost me $10.00 under my vision plan, but they file under medical and now it will cost me $150.00 from my pocket. Just because went the doctor asked me if I had any issues and I said my eyes were dry and causing blur vision, she prescribe eye drops, and this gave her the excuse to file under medical. Yearly exams are for that to see if you have any problems that need to be treated further. On top of that, they performed an eye exam on my grandchild, but did not honored her insurance for her prescription. Why have an eye exam, if you can't buy the glasses at the same practice? I called it bad business.
