Texas Cajun Cafe

My girlfriend and I have eaten here many times and everything has been fine until yesterday.

The waitress was courteous and professional but both of our orders were wrong when brought out. I had ordered the special 1lb boiled shrimp w/o Cajun seasoning and it was brought with Cajun seasoning and hers had dirty rice instead of the white rice she had ordered.

It was not a big deal and was easily remedied but after eating a few shrimp out of the bowl I found a curled piece of thin metal mixed in. It would surely have cut my mouth and gums if I had not paid attention and seen it.

The waitress was very apologetic and offered a discount of 15% on the meal and we accepted as no harm was done.

Although now as I think about the circumstances and possible negative outcome I believe that the owners and or management should have made the effort to come out and apologize sincerely and assure that it would be addressed and never happen again.

If I were management and had this situation happen I would have begged forgiveness, apologized until I was blue in the face, and the meal would have been free of charge. I would then get to the bottom of it and find how this happened and make sure it would never happen again.

What if a child or elderly person had eaten that? it could have been very serious, yet I felt as though it wasn't taken very seriously except by the waitress.

Although we enjoyed the food, this experience has damaged our opinion of the restaurant and will probably make us think twice about eating there again.
