During the initial consultation, your surgeon will ask for a complete medical history and will conduct a careful examination to evaluate your overall health. After that, the doctor will ask you to describe your concerns with regards to your eyelids. A careful and thorough evaluation of your health will be done before the evaluation of your eyes to check for any other conditions that may bring complications to the upcoming procedure. Examples of these conditions are visual impairment or inadequate tear production, thyroid diseases, allergy and glaucoma. During the consultation, the doctor will also advise you of other appropriate procedures to be able to achieve the best results.

It is advised that breast reduction not be done until breast growth has stopped, although this procedure can actually be performed at any age. Ultrasound
This method involves the use of a specialized hand piece and cannula tip connected to an ultra-high-frequency sound wave generator. Vibrations above the range of human hearing (ultrasound) are transmitted to the cannula tip, and fat in the areas of treatment is liquefied and emulsified by bursting of the cell membranes. A separate cannula and low-pressure vacuum are then used to remove the liquefied fat emulsion. This technique is also applied in difficult or secondary cases, but has somewhat greater associated risks.
Mammography
Your surgeon suggests for you to get breast examinations at no cost from our office every 6 to 12 months. Continue breast self-examinations monthly, and have mammograms as recommended by your gynecologist or personal physician, generally yearly after age 40. We do request that you forward copies of all your mammography results to our office.

General Surgery
Originally from Orange County, he attended UCLA for his undergraduate degree in Physiological Sciences before pursuing medical studies at the Baqai Medical College in Pakistan where he finished in the top 5% of his graduating class. Returning to the states for residency, Dr. Ahmed completed the general surgery program at Texas Tech before continuing his postgraduate training at the prestigious Kleinert Institute where he completed their fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ahmed is on the teaching staff at Huntington Memorial Hospital where he instructs residents on the plastic surgery service. Additionally, he runs the Wound Care Clinic at Intercommunity Hospital in Covina where he sees uninsured and medically underserved patients.
Joint Replacement
A: Most implants last for 10 to 15 years. Any type of breast implant is subject to wear and tear and deterioration due to aging over time. Like a heart valve or artificial joint replacement, they are not to be expected to last forever. The implants are covered by a manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects, and most companies provide financial assistance for re-operation and implant replacement at no charge in the event of implant failure. However, you may incur other financial costs which are not covered.

Brow Lift
A: If excessive upper eyelid skin and a drooping lateral brow is the reason for the impairment of your vision, blepharoplasty alone will not improve your peripheral vision, a combination of the brow lift and upper blepharoplasty will be required.
Eyelid Surgery
Cheek implants usually take about 30 to 45 minutes. When cheek implants are being placed in conjunction with another cosmetic procedure, such as a Face Lift, Forehead Lift or Eyelid Surgery, the implants may be inserted through the incisions made for those procedures. Otherwise, an incision will be made either inside your upper lip or your lower eyelid. A pocket is then created and an implant is inserted.
Liposuction
You will be asked by your surgeon to point out areas that concern you and would like to see improved. Realistic expectations about what can and cannot achieve by the procedure will be addressed by your surgeon. Liposuction is most successful in people with normal body weight, with good skin tone and those who have isolated unwanted fatty deposits.. If weight gain occurs after liposuction, the fat may be deposited in areas that have not been treated. The procedure can be repeated if necessary.

Thigh Lift
Thigh lift is a surgical procedure that is performed to eliminate loose and excessive, or hanging, skin surrounding your thighs and buttocks (Buttock Lift). As a result, skin is firmed up and appearance and texture are improved.
Face Lift
A Face Lift, or Rhytidectomy, is intended to restore a younger appearance by smoothing out and tightening major wrinkles and sagging skin of the face, neck and jawline. The muscles of the face and neck are elevated and secured together with the removal of any excess skin. This helps in maintaining the improvement of the contours of the face and neck. The goal of a face lift is to give you a natural revitalized appearance instead of a look that is overly tight and unnatural.
Neck Lift
Liposuction is not the answer to the laxity of the skin in the treated areas, and in some cases may worsen the appearance of the skin. There are instances where an alternative body contouring surgical procedure may be required, most commonly in combination with liposuction of the involved areas. Abdominoplasty or Lower Body Lift may be required for areas like the abdomen and hip. While the loose skin of the upper arms may require Brachioplasty (arm lift) and the sagging skin of the inner thigh may require thigh lift. A face or neck lift maybe required for a double chin in order to achieve results.
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty, commonly known as the Eyelid Lift, is a surgical procedure that aims to restore that youthful appearance to the eyes. It involves the removal of the excess skin, fat or wrinkles around the eyes to give them a more alert, fresh and youthful look.
Abdominoplasty
Commonly known as a Tummy Tuck, abdominoplasty involves the removal of excess fatty tissue and skin, resulting to a firm and smooth abdomen. The procedure entails the removal of excess abdominal skin, reduction of fat below the skin, and if necessary, tightening of the muscles of the abdominal wall.

Breast Surgery

Otoplasty
Otoplasty is a procedure used to pin the ears nearer to the head or diminish the appearance of ears that are larger than average. Surgical techniques like cartilage removal and reshaping through an incision done on the back of the ear can be carried out in order to re-establish normal ear shape. Otoplasty may be done on one ear or both ears as needed.
Scar Revision
Body Contouring
A: In the case of younger patients, their skin has sufficient elasticity and resilience so it can shrink and contract nicely over the areas of fat that have been removed. If the skin has been stretched beyond recovery by years of localized fatty excess, liposuction may need to be combined with another body contouring procedure to remove the excess skin.
Laser Resurfacing
For the lower eyelids, excess fat is removed either through the traditional skin-muscle flap technique or through the lining tissue of the lower eyelid, more commonly known as the trans-conjunctival technique. In certain cases, the arcus marginalis release technique is used where the lower eyelid fat is preserved and used to fill the hollow, dark circle or prominent lower border of the bony orbit. The excess lower eyelid skin can then be directly trimmed or resurfaced and tightened using chemical or laser resurfacing techniques.
