Overall

We have recently moved and had to take our children out of Just Like Home Too and move them in another facility around the Edmond area. After trying 3 facilities, we are now making the 30 minute drive one way to keep our children at Just Like Home Too. They are always kind, professional, and the staff are always interacting in the activities with the classes. Management has been nothing but helpful and kind. I can't imagine anyone having an issue with this center. We have now gone there for 6 years. We have been able to get to know other parents there as well and they too are very happy with the center. The center smells clean and the children are always happy when we watch through the windows. I highly recommend this center.

My child has gone to Just Like Home Too for 3 years and I have to say, this by far the best center in the metro. We went to 3 other centers that we had to pull our child from due to neglect. Our child has always been happy here and no matter what time we pick her up, she is happy and clean. I have recommended this center to a couple of different friends and they too love this center, the staff and the director. They always have activities going on outside of the daily curriculum. I have never experienced anything like these other people commenting have said. I do know, the director goes by the rules and some people just don't like that. They get upset and the first thing they do it seems like is run to make a bad review or DHS. I highly recommend this center to anyone wanting someone who really cares for their child. I

Loved this daycare! but in recent months the service has gone downhill. Children are yelled at and called names. Very unprofessional! My children have grown to dislike this facility. As soon as I can find another facility I will be removing my children. Warning to parents they put on a great act.

HORRIBLE!

I was very unhappy with this daycare my child who was one at the time had multiple severe bites one on her face because the teachers were negligent! The ratios were not correct most of the time she was in the threes room when she was supposed to be in the toddler room. My child actually cried when I have left her there I only went there because I had to find daycare quick and yes I had DHS assistance I always paid what I was supposed to and near the end of when I was going to pull my child out I was informed of a missed swipe days after the fact and therefore I owed them 12 dollars not a big deal but the director continued to black mail me when I asked for the child care tax credit number for my taxes and she wouldn't give it to me until I paid the 12 dollars I wouldn't have had an issue paying the money and it all could have been avoided if they would have notified me sooner that a swipe was messed up but I wasn't going to be black mailed. My daughter hasn't been to this daycare since March and now the 12 dollars is now 155 as of July 28th when the letter was sent. I do not like the staff as most of them were very un attentive of my daughter and the fact it only received 4 incident reports when there were actually a total of 9 incidents that I was told about where no report was written 5 of them were bite marks the others scratches and bruises I would not recommend this daycare to anyone and am so thankful I pulled my child out she is so much happier at her new daycare!

I have three daughters, and after the display by employees of this place I would not consider them ever having any influence on my children. The way the employees talk to and treat the children when they think no one is looking is unacceptable.

My kids are happy here. The staff and teachers at Just Like Home Too have gone over the top in helping us with our children. When our pediatrician prescribed diet adjustments and behavior modification techniques for our oldest child, the director, staff and teachers easily and consistently applied those methods, and we've had good results in a short time. I believe that they truly care about all the kids in their charge. I was happily surprised to see that they apply research behind the services they provide, for example blank paper on which to draw (not coloring books). Their playground has the best equipment for toddlers to school-age kids, and their inclement weather indoor play area is completely adequate. Some of the teachers have been there for many years, some are new. My kids love all their teachers, and I am delightedly surprised that when we meet them outside of school they know my kids by name. Having had my kids at three other day care centers over the years (all of which were DHS-rated 3-star facilities), I would say this facility is top notch. It is at the top of my list.

I teach school in the Putnam city district and my child attends this daycare. He is very happy when he goes there. The manager is very professional and answers all of my questions in regards to the curriculum. I have read some of the other posts on here about this center and it seems to me it comes from a lack of intelligence on the part of the parent. I have witnessed a few times that a parent has their DHS( my tax dollar) account closed and wants to gripe at the management as if it is their fault. This place is clean and very structured. As a 24 year veteran of the armed forces I am very piicky and detail oriented about where my child goes for childcare services. I dare you to ask any questions to this manager as she will quote you the DHS guidelines and licensing regulations. That is knowledge and knowledge is power so think before you condemn this place. I am more than satisfied with the service I receive and have heard positive remarks from numerous people in the Bethany community as well as the Putnam city school district. I have found the employees to be well trained in their jobs and certified in CPR and other first aid courses. Think and get the facts before you condemn

Overall
concerned parent

I am an employee at Just Like Home Too and although I do not want to lose my job I feel it is necessary to inform parents of what goes on behind closed doors at this facility. To all you new parents thinking about enrolling your children here....DON"T! The infant room has had many recent citations from D.H.S. for uncleanliness in the room and Improper temperature control of the refrigerator that holds the formula and food. The toddler room seems to be a little bit more sanitary but for some reason cannot seem to keep a full time teacher. Therefore, there is a lot of chaos with the children due to the lack of structure from the constant revolving door of teachers. The two year old room seems to be one of the better ones except for the fact that the diaper changing station is only big enough for infants and the children are hanging over the edges while getting the diapers changed. The three year old room is run on intimidation and the teacher there does not seem to find it inappropriate to raise her voice with the children. The Pre-K room is filthy and the toys are not sanitized regularly (even though it is required by DHS). The teachers in the Pre-K room are not allowed to sit down with your children at lunch time-so the children are not taught proper table manners and yet are still expected to behave according to proper table etiquette. The lack of structure in this room shows with the excessive amount of behavioral reports that are given out each week. The school-age class run like the 3 year old room with a teacher that is over-worked therefore is not always pleasant. There are several special needs children at this facility that in my opinion do not get the amount of attention that they deserve. During mealtime the children are supposed to be able to receive second helpings on food because this daycare is on the Food Program, but the teachers are only given enough for each child to have one plate. The cook does not even make enough for seconds to be handed out. The director of this particular facility is very unprofessional and I warn you parents not to cross her because the care of your child is at stake. If you want to find a clean, friendly, and structured environment for your children to thrive in....look elsewhere becauset Just Like Home Too is NOT the place. Best of luck!

I would like to say DHS files are a public record and anyone interested in our facility will find that our center has had good visits from DHS licensing. This review came right after the termination of one of our employees who was very upset with us. Of course she did not agree with the decision we came to of letting her go and decided to retaliate. I assure any parent looking for child care, we have a very clean and great program with a wonderful curriculum. Our last licensing visit was perfect with absolutely no viloations and we are proud of our staff for their hard work and dedication to the families and children in their care.

Clean Nice Friendly

My son has not gone to Just Like Home Too for long so my review might not be completely accurate. As far as i can tell so far I really like the center. My one year old throws a fit when I leave but he is one who doesn't. He always seems very happy when I arrive. Most of the time he does not want to leave he wants to stay and play with his new friends. I started him at the center one week before I had to return to work so I could drop by unexpected and check on him. He was fine each time. He has never had a runny nose dirty dipper or bite when I pick him up. As far as the busses the other parent spoke off I am not sure I have not personaly seen them but that does not mean they are not there. The only bus I see is an ice cream truck on Fridays.
