“Being a first time home buyer, I wanted a contractor that I could trust and depend on. I got Ted's name from a good friend who also raved about him. Ted took the time to come over to my soon to be new house and did a house inspection with me. Boy was I glad I did, I was able to negotiate the price down by 5K. I was so pleased that I first hired Ted and his crew to do minor things like install a ceiling fan, closed lights and a medicine cabinet. I wanted to test the waters so to speak....They did a superb job! Yes, we ran into some minor problems but they were able to fix it all, with no drama....the attention to details was amazing....when the guys put in the medicine cabinet, they made sure to cover the sink drain pipe so debris wouldn't fall in and clog the pipes.

“I live in the Mill Valley area and have a carport deck that started leaking last year. In addition we discovered a leak in our upper balcony. I contacted Goodman's Lumber and they put me in touch with Ted Wray Builder. Ted and I came up with a plan that would take us through a very large, but necessary repair project, that involved water proofers, demolition, tile specialists, wood rot repair, rebuilding and painting. Given the changing weather conditions throughout the winter and the difficulty of dealing with water problems the project took almost 6 months to complete. Throughout the process Ted and I were in constant communication. Ordering supplies and coordination with all of the parties involved was a very difficult process. However, Ted kept things moving along and dealt with each new issue that we discovered in a thoughtful and timely manner. In addition, each day when various workers departed, Ted made sure that things were always cleaned up and made ready for the next day. In the end, the project cost more than I had hoped (what project doesn't?) but given the necessity to be thorough when dealing with water and wood rot issues the overall job was done with top quality and 3 year guarantees against any leakage. Given the same situation I would highly recommend Ted and his approach to a project of this nature.”

I was so pleased that when I had to install bollards in the driveway (that PG&E was requiring) in order to change out the main electrical panel, I did not hesitate to call Ted and his crew. I was so happy that they would be able to do the job even though it had nothing to do with remodeling. His crew was great, on time, clean, and on budget. Since I've had them put in a French drain in front of the driveway and some redwood stairs off the back porch. Every time, it's been easy, quick, clean and no hassle. I tell Ted what I would like, we talk about design and how I want it to look and off we go! His crew is also very helpful and wants to do a good job. Once in the field, things don't go as planned....when we were doing the stairs, there was an underground conduit so the post couldn't be placed where we originally thought, Mike didn't hesitate to give me options so I would be happy and pleased! I couldn't recommend them enough. Ted is very knowledgeable and helpful. A great person to know when owning a home!”

Window Installation/Replacement
TWB replaced the original 8 oval windows which had outlived their usefulness. The new pivoting double paned custom wood windows provide for ventilation, easy cleaning + make a huge difference in the livability of the beautifully appointed upstairs bath + bedrooms.
Decks
This hillside estate home has undergone a complete transformation. Its kitchen is now open to the dining area addition + living room. The entry powder room + 2nd level hall bath were updated. The master suite features a new view window of Sausalito + includes a bath remodel with walk-in closet addition. The new bath + laundry rooms with ample storage fit nicely into the formerly undeveloped understory. A generous new interior staircase accesses the previously isolated pool terrace bedroom suite. New doors, windows, hardwood floors + decks are integrated seamlessly. A new roof, insulated over the lofted living room completes the project
