Cielito Lindo Restaurant

Food is overpriced and far from the best Mexican food available. I only go there when friends want to, which is thankfully not often. The only good thing about this restaurant is the full service bar, but I can get that at other places.

Disappointed in food and owner. When asked how was the food...I gave an honest answer and the reply was "You will know better than to order it next time." I was somewhat floored! When checking out I asked to speak to manager/owner...this same lady refused to give me a name. When I picked up the restaurant card this same lady said "I am the owner." I informed her I was going to post a negative review and she replied "I know a lot of people in this town." Bellville is a great town with some great people! This owner and restaurant do not reflect the Bellville, Texas, I know.

Two years ago my husband and I went to this restaurant. We were enjoying our meal when I noticed a new wood screw in my rice 3/4 Inches long. I called the waiter to see what was in my rice. He told me he would get me some more. I told him I didn't want more & asked for the manager. The manager came and I told him what I had found and that we weren't paying for our meals. He said okay and left. No appology. We have never been back.

When we got to the restaurant me and my husband told the manager it would only be the two of us,and the tall man left talking to one of the other employees it didn't seem that important since it look like they were just playing and messing around so then he came back he looked mad and finally told us how many and we said again two please he took us to this Booth that wasnt clean at all it looked like someone had just finished eating there and that the employee was too lazy to pick it up we then had to clean it our selves then the waiter was taking too long to take our order so we had to get up our seats and name their attention as one of the waiters was taking a sip of what seemed a "pina colada" and took our order in a angry manner our chips had finally came and as we were eating our busboy and waiter seemed or atleast to my husband and I looked like they were talking bad about us in Spanish and pointing fingers as if they had done something wrong to our salsa and chips and they kept talking to us subliminally in Spanish and since my husband knew partial Spanish he understood some few of the words they were saying our food arrived and ate a cold lunch since it was cold and somewhat raw we didn't like that, so we ordered a small Chile con queso and the waiter messed it up since he was trying to move the soda away and instead if moving it he managed to spill it onto our small bowl of Chile con queso and then we demanded to talk to the manager or owner and they sent us this awfully big looking man that had very poor grammar and spelling telling us stuff we didn't ever understood so we told him you know what thanks but were leaving and payed and left promising we'd never go there back again don't go there bad service and rude

This is a very nice Mexican food restaurant, they have very friendly staff who greet you as if you're old friends every time you go. The food is very good and have never had problems with the service, even on busy evenings. Definitely recommend eating here!

This is one of the worst experience we've had eating at a restaurant...worst service ever...waiter talked too fast and not a good people person. When we finally got our food, the meat was tough and bland. I never thought you can mess up tortillas but this restaurant managed to do so. And finally...the best part of the night, there was a dead fly lurking in our guacamole dip...all the manager of the restaurant could say was 'it wasn't my fault'...'I can't do anything about the flies'...WOW!! Didn't even offer anything that they could do...so we told them to give us our check and we will scoot. What a waste of drive and money...we will never go back there again and we will tell friends and other people about our experience at this restaurant...disgusting and bad service!!!

We had a large party and they completely messed up our ticket. They demanded more money at the cash register. The manager was present and aware of the problem. He said nothing. We had a huge bill, and the service we received upon exiting was appaling. And we are not out to take advantage of anyone...we were more than willing to pay for what we had ate and drank. The restaurant made a billing mistake and the manager was completely incompetent! If you are in Bellville, don't fall for the nice, new renovated restaurant..go for the reliable one GALILEOS!!!!
