Belltowne Veterinary Center

I looked them up year ago. I wasn't happy with current vet. They seemed well equipped & very educated. I thought they be very expensive. Peaches 13 yr old pitbull became ill 07/17/17. She had appt Monday for CBC because urinalysis (i requested) had abnormal kidney levels. Not 1st time; long story. Friday & under circumstances I assumed her vet would get her in, but was wrong. It was 2 PM I called, only to be told nothing they could do because they close at 5 PM, but could fax records to Olympia, 50 min . away & $99 exam fee. Peaches kept looking at me & shaking. I knew she was in pain could barely move & stopped eating. It was long shot, but until boyfriend got home I had no way to olympia, I called Belltown. Wish could remember woman I spoke with because her effort in finding out what was wrong and what we were going to do really helped me to not break down.She was on phone with me on & off until I got there at closing, 7 PM communicating back & forth to me & the staff & had Peaches records faxed over. Long story short, I had to put Peaches down that night. Hardest thing ever experienced. Still very broken, but thankful they cared enough to do whatever it took to get her seen. She would have continued suffering & died that way. I know they have to keep composure & be professional in these situations. Alicia, the vet that night did, but I could feel the compassion when she hugged me & said said she understands. I knew she did. Her & a few others stayed hours after closing & didn't mind a bit. Also cheaper. I walked out without my baby, but in my eyes, they saved her. We were a bit short but planned to pay when picked up her ashes in few days. We were still a wreck. My boyfreind got ashes & left so wouldn't cry. They sent us a card with staffs thoughts, prayers, sympathy. My boyfriend said, "OMG! forgot to pay". We payed. Even though she's gone, shes not suffering & went peacefully because they had her best interest in mind & knew how important it was to see her.
