Great Kennel. Super nice people, great prices, and clean kennels. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog and cat with them.I would recommend.

Roy took such great care of our cats while we were away. We had home care set up for a week, he came in and fed them and kept their litter clean for us. He even sent us pictures of the cats to show us how happy they were. We will certainly be utilizing Tarheel's services the next time we go away. Thank you so much!

Jagger went home happy after staying overnight for the first time. Workers were delightful over the phone and in person. Our puppy's fur is still in perfect shape after 4 days. I was amazed at how well they gave him a shampoo, blow dry and cut since the stain of the Vectra flea and tick remover left a stain on his coat. They washed his bedding too, had it fresh to bring it back home! Thanks Tarheel peeps!

My Freddie absolutely loves the place and do I ! He has been going to day care since he was a puppy. He is now 6. The staff is wonderful ,my dog just loves them. Roy is great and very accommodating for last minute changes. They go above and beyond ! I'm so thankful I found them!!

Our 12 year-old Australian Cattle Dog has boarded here since she was young. Her vet recommended Tarheel, and we would not go anywhere else. Roy, his parents and all the staff have been understanding of our dog and the peculiarities of her breed, and we always know she will be well cared for. The basic rate is very reasonable, and there are options for play, grooming and so on if you want them. Thank you, Tarheel, for being Wendy's "home away from home."

We have been boarding our dog with Tarheel for 3 years, since he was a pup. Staff is warm and caring. Our dog is always excited when we arrive and doesn't even give us the chance to say goodbye before he is led to his kennel. Roy and Marge always have a good report upon pick-up. Tarheel requires a meet and greet prior to boarding, which I have never experienced with other boarding facilities. Our dog is a member of our family and knowing that his safety and security is provided for means we can enjoy our time away from home. You won't find a better facility than Tarheel.

Location Location! Easy to drop off here and then jump on 287 or 78. For a Bedminster location prices are more than reasonable. I go out of town for a couple weeks a year, and I love that Teddy will get some outside time, and for a couple more bucks I can put him in camp for a day or two. A grooming before I pick him up and we are good to go! This is my second pet and i have been coming to Tarheel for the last 20 years. They always took great care of my kitty, never a worry with medicine or special feeding. I would definitely recommend. All of the folks that work there have tremendous knowledge and experience.

Great place, great care for my doggies. The owners are patient listeners and know exactly what they are doing. The prices they offer are the cheapest I could find in the area. The doggie daycare is excellent for my usually overly energetic puppies. Highly recommended!

Tarheels is excellent. We have brought our small dog to doggie daycare on a number of occasions and she loves it! They are knowledgeable and take the time to make sure that the dogs (and people) are comfortable. It feels like I am leaving my dog with family whenever we interact with this well-run family business .

AMAZING! We have used Tarheel for over 5 years now and NEVER had an issue. They are friendly, personable and very fairly priced. My dog is an older Basset Hound who needs some TLC when we are away. Not only do they give her extra "hugs" they pay special attention to older pets or pets with special needs. The kennel is not overcrowded or smelly and they also provide "spa" services should your pup need a "mani pedi." This is a GREAT local business .. good people, good service and great rates.

I'm not sure who is happier about Tarheel Day Camp, my one and a half year old Great Dane or me. As most loving dog owners, I pride myself on taking the best care of my precious pup, Hugo, and I had reservations about whether he would do well in a setting like this. I put my trust into the experienced staff to make sure he was well supervised and realized that they truly know their business. It's winter, and I hate the cold, but I now have a safe environment where my dog can exercise, be stimulated, and play with his friends. On frigid days, Tarheel keeps the dogs outside for short periods and transfers them to an indoor area so they still get their activity. He gets excited when I say Tarheel and jumps into the car to go there. There are no video cams for you to oversee your pet's stay, so you will have to go with your instincts and see how happy he/she is to be there. I would highly recommend Tarheel to anyone, including my family and closest friends.

I've been taking our dog to family-run TarHeel for 4 years. Our Molly is cared for as one of their own . When she arrives for day camp Roy and Marge always make such a loving fuss over her. Molly has a special stomach condition so must be over- seen and given only her food and no toys or bones - any mishap in this area and she could need hospitalization. We have never had a problem with her coming home sick from Tarheel. I would recommend them as a 'home away from home' for anyone's cherished pet.

Tarheels is fabulous! I have been using them on a daily basis for lunchtime walks for my 2 geriatric pugs for over 4 years. The staff and walkers really care about the animals. I also use them for evening and weekend walks as needed. They allow me to have a life which I so appreciate. I have called them and they have been there within an hour! They are reliable, trust worthy and extremely flexible. I HIGHLY recommend Tarheels and want to thank them for all they do! Additionally, my dogs love their walkers which is a great sign! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Use them!

I started using Tarheel in Feb. 2014, probably one of the worst winters in NJ between all the snow and extremely cold temps that seemed to never end. Roy, Courtney, Dana, etc...the rest of the staff gave me such a comfort level knowing Lucy was in good hands. She is an English Pointer pup and the energy doesn't stop! They are very very accommodating and pay attention to every customers individual needs. It's so important to me to have piece of mind when away that Lucy is in a great place and having a ton of fun at camp. I think that is a great thing for dogs to be socialized and gets them the exercise they need as well....which makes for a good night's sleep in the kennel or at home if using the day camp. Then of course the fact that they live there I think is key which makes them superior above many other kennels where the staff goes home at the end of the day. Highly recommend the kennel facility with camp or just the day camp, great all around. Thanks to all at Tarheel!

3 YEARS AS A SATISFIED CUSTOMER! We moved to NYC a year ago however we continue to bring Sydney to Tarheel for boarding whenever we leave town. Thank you so much for providing such wonderful accommodations and services. It always gives us peace of mind to know that we are leaving her in capable and caring hands.

Great service and very friendly staff!! They always remember our dog each time I call to board which is a nice touch and it also reassures my wife that he will be taken care of while we are away. Camps and grooming service have always been great too!
