Northwind Kennels

I recently used Northwind Kennels to board my West Highland Terrier while we went away on a week long cruise. I was very pleased with the experience. When I returned to pick up my dog, he was in good spirits, happy and healthy. He seemed to love the staff and was not nervous at all. It looked like he wouldn't mind staying there again! This can only be due to the fact that this kennel has true animal lovers working there. The staff was friendly, very knowledgeable, and took inventory of all the information that would make my dog the most comfortable while I was away. What I especially like about Northwind Kennels is not only is it a boarding facility but it is also an animal rescue and they find homes for homeless dogs and cats. You know when you leave your pet there that you are leaving your pet in the hands of people who truly care about animals. That give me peace of mind. Another thing I like about Northwind is how they play relaxing music for the animals so they all seem calm and content. I will definitely be using Northwind Kennels again when we go on our next vacation. I highly recommend you try this facility because it truly is a special place!

I would just like to thank Penny for her caring and kindness by showing my niece Christine and myself a tour of the facility and taking a friend of mines three cats. My friend was taken into a hospice facility today, and it was just in the nick of time. The dog kennels are the cleaniest I have ever seen, and the cat houses are beautiful; you could eat off the floors. They have outdoor runs for the dogs and until they can find their forever homes, you couldn't ask for a better facility. Thank you Penny for all you do for not only pet owners who feel safe leaving their animals with you when they are away, but for the many animals that have been displaced and are now receiving a second chance through your kindness to have a family of their own. Good place, good people. I totally trust them with sammy. I knew she would get plenty of exercise in the play area and she got a nice grooming too! (I recommend that!) They'll give you a tour and show you around too if you are unsure.

This is a very good place - I felt OK leaving my older lab there. Very woodsy area too, so Max got some nice excercise. The people seem like they know what they are doing.
