        Forward Stride is a non-profit organization comprised of qualified therapists, committed staff, passionate volunteers and extraordinary therapy horses, all dedicated to helping people enrich their lives through evidence-based therapies. We offer a broad range of activities and therapeutic options including Hippotherapy, Therapeutic Sport Riding, Vaulting and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy. Founded in 2003, Forward Stride the only nationally accredited center in the Portland/Vancouver Metropolitan Area and the largest in Oregon. Forward Stride has obtained Premier Accreditation status through the industry's professional organization ' N ARHA. Premier Accreditation is the highest possible level of accreditation and ensures that our instruction, safety, and programming are of significant quality. Additionally, Forward Stride is a member of the National Standards for Excellence Institute. The Standards for Excellence Institute is committed to raising the level of ethics and accountability in nonprofit organizations. Based on the core values of honesty, integrity, fairness, respect, trust, compassion, and responsibility ; The Standards for Excellence serve as a model of how well managed, responsibly governed, nonprofit organizations operate. For example, our horses receive professional donations from 7 veterinarians, farriers, equine massage therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and rehabilitation specialists. We also partner with community organizations, regional health care providers and educational agencies in order to bring high quality services to our community. With a committed Board of Directors, talented staff members and numerous volunteers helping to bring the unique mission to life, Forward Stride is poised to become a leader in providing therapeutic recreational services.
