I visited KUCB Sunday am, Aug 30 for a sliced finger. I cut it with a sharp knife while slicing lemons, leaving a flap of skin about 3/8 of an inch long and almost as wide. After arriving at KUCB, I was advised that I should either have it stitched or glued shut. I was given a cleaning solution to soak my finger in. The doctor came to look at it - by that time I had spent enough time gripping a clean piece of gauze over it tightly, that she decided that the glue should be sufficient. I accepted the glue, which was put on in 2 or 3 layers. The doctor told me if I had any problems with it, to come back and "they" would put a stitch in it. I kept it very clean & dry, as per instructions. Monday evening, I removed the most recent bandaid so as to take a shower. There was a little blood on the bandaid, which sort of surprised me. Tues 9:20 am, I called KUCB and asked about getting a stitch put in it because it was seeping a tiny bit of blood. The snotty woman who answered the phone treated me like I was a stupid idiot and told me that "they would not put a stitch in it because after 20 hours it is considered "dirty" and they would not put a stitch in it at that point. I asked about using the same cleaning solution for it as had been used the original day. She snottily said "they couldn't do that" because 20 hours had already passed. I asked if I should call my family doctor to have ti done & she snottily replied "no one will do it after 20 hours". I told the snotty receptionist that I was simply doing what I had been told to do. Her snotty reply was "I wasn't here the day you were told to do that".

Do yourself a favor and do not go to KUCB. This is the second time that I have had a mediocre experience there. (The first was 10 years ago.) No one has a right to be snotty and treat you like you are an ignoramus.
