The more I think about my baby...

The more I think about my baby's time here, the angrier I become!!!

They decided to go against my advice & feed my exclusively breastfed 5 month old 6ounces of milk every 2 hours, claiming that she was "showing signs of hunger." They need to better educate themselves on breastfeeding as none of the providers I met had children of their own therefore, definitely hadn't breastfed themselves. There are other reasons a child cries other than being hungry or dirty, sometimes they just want to be held or are bored.

They have 2 two hour naps scheduled for the newborns & each baby is expected to stay in their crib, in the dark for the entire duration regardless of if they are crying! I arrived to pick up my baby at an unusual time, during naptime & her leg was twisted out of the crib, while another baby was just crying to be tended to while the provider said, and I quote, "she doesn't understand it's naptime & she needs to stay in her crib to sleep."

The newborns crawl around on the floor that other people walk around with their muddy, dirty shoes.

Oh get this, on beautiful days, babies are taken inside of what they call a "sunroom" rather than being taken outside because they don't have enough arms. Hmm, don't they make enough money to purchase a cart? They are after all, "voted Bangor's #1 Daycare." I'm curiouis to know where these votes are coming from because mothers I spoke to prior to enrolling her warned me about how horrible they are!

This is the worse daycare I have EVER experienced & I would suggest anyone considering it, take their child elsewhere!!

Dissatisfied

If you want someone to dictate how your child is raised, then this is the place for you. Though I opted to provide my own food, they went against my wishes & fed my child their food which constipated my child. I always feel bad for the infants that are stuck inside in a "sunroom" while the weather is beautiful out. Toys are not sanitized regularly & infants crawl around on a dirty floor while older kids nap on those same dirty floors- no one should be allowed to walk around with their muddy/dirty shoes on the same area kids sleep or babies crawl!
When I announced I would be taking my child elsewhere, they attempted to charge me for an additional on top of my final week's pay upon registration!
The teachers are sweet so I'll add a star for that but the way things are run here seriously needs to be addressed.

This is a great daycare! I can see in their faces that they genuinely care about the children! They always say hi hi hi!! Give hugs and when they leave I see them say bye see you tomorrow!! Courtney who is the headmaster is so nice and I see her with a clipboard of all the childrens names and she is very organized! And all the children are well behaved and call the teachers by miss ___. I really love this daycare.
