Green Tea

I agree with the previous review- excellent vegan sushi options, including brown rice for the maki rolls. I ate at Green Tea with a mixed group of dietary preferences, and all were quite satisfied. I was unsure if my questions about vegan, no mayonnaise, or fish in the miso soup were understood, but I settled on edamame and the 3-choice maki dinner, which was more than filling. I would definitely return if I were in the area again. I liked the seating options that included the bar area or semi-private rooms along the side.

An awesome selection. This being the 4th restaurant we went to on a Thursday night at 5 pm to get something non junk food to eat after 2 days of driving. One seafood house had no seafood. 2 others had no parking, this was the 4 th place we tried. It was in a strip mall. Not promising looking at it from the outside.. it was great. A great local rye ipa called the refueler followed by an awesome sushi roll the king lobster roll. This place made my stay in Bangor

Above Average!!. I happened upon Green Tea a few weeks ago and was impressed. The establishment was very clean and the servers were very pleasant.

The food was much more "fresh" than other Chinese restaurants. I cannot compare the Japanese aspect of the restaurant, as I haven't had many experiences with that sort of cuisine.

What I was most pleased with at Green Tea was the presentation. The dishes were so beautiful and appealing. In many restaurants, presentation goes ignored.

I would happily dine here again and would recommend Green Tea to friends.

This restaurant has an extensive menu. Lots of different foods to choose from. The waiter was very helpful, explaining the dishes. There were some creative combinations as well. Recommend it here !

My sister and I went here to have some quality time last week and the food was great! We loved that they sat us in a booth that had a sliding door, as my sisters 8 month old daughter was sleeping and it made it more quiet and private for us! :)

I had the lunch special: miso soup and two rolls for $8.50. The soup had a more complex flavor than other miso soups I've tried (but I've mainly only had it from one restaurant). I ordered cucumber/ avocado and carrot/mango/ avocado. Both were delicious. The restaurant had a very nice decor and ambiance, the food was great and very nicely put together on the plate, and the price really can't be beat unless you want some sketchy gas station sushi! My friend had the pad thai and said it was nice too. I sort of don't like the idea of combining so many different cuisines in one restaurant, but it seems to work out fine for them!

The food was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and excellent flavor. If you like Sushi or Maki, there is an extensive offering of both.

Green Tea serves hot food that is a mixture of Thai, Chinese, and Japanese (veggie gyoza, edamame, ma po tofu, and more). My husband and I eat here frequently, and we usually don't eat the hot food and go straight for the sushi menu. They definitely have the best variety and quality of veggie sushi in the Bangor area. They have a clearly labeled section for vegetarian sushi in the menu, and there are several additional vegan and vegetarian options from the a la cart menu. Some of our favorites include mango (from the a la cart menu), sweet potato rolls, and anything with cucumber and avocado. The folks working at Green Tea are always warm and welcoming. Sometimes you may listen to the same song or two on loop the whole time you are there, however, otherwise, I always find Green Tea to be a great treat.

Fantastic sushi! No other place in the area sells sushi à la carte, and there is no sushi buffet in the Bangor area, so this is the closest thing. And the sushi is delectable, any connoisseur should be impressed. Be careful though, you can easily end up spending a lot more than you intend.
The decor here is especially impressive, maybe the most beautiful interior of any restaurant in Bangor. An extra special added treat is that they have booths with walls and sliding Asian style doors, which makes this place perfect for a romantic date.
So, great food, fantastic setting, also my personal experience with the wait staff was very good, she was friendly, efficient, and attentive. Highly recommend this place, though I do have one complaint: no saké. I like to order saké with my sushi but I didn't see it on their menu. They sell alcohol, but no saké, that's a shame. Instead I went with a locally made blueberry soda, which was delicious as well, so I can't complain too much.

So I have been wanting to check this place out for years, but the name is kind of vague and the entrance is hidden down in the middle of the plaza with no signage. We finally decided to try it on Mother’s Day thinking it wouldn’t be as busy as more popular places and we are so glad we did. It was wonderful. I had sushi and my husband had Mongolian beef which he can’t stop talking about. The wait staff and the restaurant are very authentic. No French fries or canned pudding here! We are going back soon!!!!

This restaurant shocked us by how great the food, environment, and service was! We stopped here on a whim while on vacation. We have had sushi in Washington DC, northern Virginia, Atlanta, and more. We really love sushi. So let me tell you that this is excellent sushi. We ordered the basic tuna, salmon, and Philadelphia roll. So fresh and delicious. Then we also ordered the Bangor and Maine specialty rolls with fresh Maine lobster in it. Incredibly delicious and great presentation. The staff is great and super friendly. It is clean and beautifully decorated. I would strongly suggest this to anyone even if sushi isn't your thing. I'm sure all their food is exceptional.

Close to our hotel and was wanting some asian cuisine. Portions were generous and food was very good.

The best sushi around. Loved the sweet potato, the chicken tempura and peanut and avocado. Good wine as well all reasonably priced.

Green Tea is an amazing restaurant for anyone who loves Chinese themed food. I think the best food they have is the sea urchin sushi. It doesn't taste fishy, it has a nice creamy texture, and tastes like the sea. It tastes amazing with wasabi on top. If you think that that sounds great, you should try their coconut shrimp. The way they make it is beyond words. It has a nice crunchy shell topped with a kinda sweet coconut sauce. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes shrimp. I came here with my family, and they found their sushi absolutely wonderful. I love this restaurant for everything they have.

Wide selection of Asian favorites. Clean restaurant. Good service. Reasonable prices. Menu is predictable, but good.

Lots of sushi and sashimi choices, plus full range of asian entrees. There are several vegetarian choices as well, which is good for my dietary requirements.

The food and service were both excellent.
