East Ridge Gun Co

I cannot recommend East Ridge Gun Company. Larry W. Lyle offered a pistol for sale on GunBroker.com. He listed no time frame to receive payment so I asked him if I would send him the payment on 12/16/2011. He replied with "if the gun does not sell I will not relist it and hold it until Friday." Using a GunBroker auction to set up a sale outside GunBroker is a violation of their Terms of Service and unethical. To comply, I waited until the final 4 hours of the auction and then clicked the Buy It Now button. This was 12/11/2011 11:44:42 AM ET and Larry Lyle contacted me on 12/11/1011 12:02 PM CT and asked how I planned to pay. I replied and explained that when I receive his mailing address and a final amount including shipping that I would have Wells Fargo cut him a check. Larry sent me his mailing address and info on 12/132011 04:11 AM CT. I was traveling all day on WED 12/14/2011 and during that time Larry sends me an email that says, "Still no fax. ?????????" Then on 12/15/2011 3:48 PM CT, I received the following email from Larry, "This deal is over. It has been 4 days and I haven't seen a thing. You are playing me hoping to get to friday or maybe you were never going to pay. You are blocked to bid on anything I sell. Thanks for screwing me around. Now I can pay the selling fee over a bum like you and relist the gun. NEG FEEDBACK !!!"



Let's examine the facts:



1. East Ridge Gun Company offered to sell a gun in violation of GunBroker's Terms of Service.



2. East Ridge Gun Company agreed to "hold the gun until Friday."



3. East Ridge Gun Company did not provide payment details and mailing address until 2 days after the end of the auction.



4. East Ridge Gun Company freaked out and refused to complete the transaction 2 days later.



I am not suggesting that Larry Lyle of East Ridge Gun Company would cheat you should you decide to do business with them, but it is clear that he is willing to circumvent GunBroker Terms and cheat them out of their auction fees.
