Turner's High Moon Bar is located in Downtown Avon at Kinnakeet Corner at the traffic light and intersection of NC 12 and Harbor Rd. Our atmosphere is eclectic and stylish while remaining warm and friendly. You'll find 21 craft brews on draft, 8 draft wines and an impressive cocktail list made with fresh ingredients. Since opening in June, 2014, we have attracted many of the island's very talented musicians and artists, as well as bands from all over who want to include Turner's on their tour, which honors us and makes us feel pretty cool. During the summer we generally have music 5 nights a week. In the off season we have live performances on Fridays and Saturdays. There is plenty of room to mingle, dance and shoot a game of shuffleboard on our gorgeous 18' table. We are also hosting the Hatteras Island Poker League every Sunday with sign in at 7 pm. We plan to make our outside deck even more appealing since everyone loves to be outside in our lovely island weather. We hope to have a bar menu offering small plates starting this spring. We are a bar without a kitchen, which makes us a Private Club. Membership is required and the annual dues are $1. Turner's is the locals' favorite gathering place and a destination that guests to the island won't want to miss. You'll have a fun time while being treated with respect and kindness.
