Subluxation
This is a representation of one type of subluxation. A subluxation, as defined by the Association of Chiropractic Colleges is: "A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system function and general health." When a subluxation occurs it causes nerve interference in some portion of the body affected by those nerves. The subluxation causes changes to the structure as well as the nerves. These changes get progressively worse as time is allowed to work on the subluxated area of the spine. These changes take the form of ongoing degeneration known as "subluxation degeneration". By understanding the type and amount of changes, it is possible to reasonably estimate the time subluxations have been present in a spine. Having this information is useful in understanding the time and effort needed for correction.
Pediatric Chiropractic
Dr. Claudia Anrig has been a practicing chiropractor in Fresno, California for over 20 years. She is co-founder of Peter Pan Potential, the first comprehensive pediatric program for the Chiropractic profession. She is the past president of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association www.icpa4kids.com. Dr. Anrig is a noted lecturer in the area of pediatric chiropractic. She has recently edited the textbook, Pediatric Chiropractic. This textbook is the fastest selling book in the history of the chiropractic profession.
Applied Kinesiology
Originally raised in New York, just outside New York City, he began reading about vegetarian diets and nutrition while in high school. After graduating from New York University he moved west and studied naturopathy for a year. This gave him a postgraduate level introduction to homeopathy, nutrition and natural healing. At that time he became a macrobiotic vegetarian. “But I was too young and broke at the time, so I dropped out and moved to Florida”, he explained. After working in construction for a while he moved to New York, where he worked in business for several years. “While I was successful and could see a career path in the corporation I was working for, I just wasn’t satisfied. I never felt like I was doing enough for others.” So, he and his wife took their two infant sons and moved to Atlanta, Georgia to study chiropractic. Life Chiropractic College was the largest natural-health college in the world at the time, with excellent faculty and a great program in chiropractic, with additional classes in nutrition, diet, exercise, etc in addition to the science courses in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, etc. In addition to working 2-3 jobs, studying the Bible and attending class, Dr. Siegel served as president of the student body, and then graduated with honors. Since then, he has taken numerous classes in biochemistry and nutrition, orthopedics, applied kinesiology, low level lasers, etc.
