Avon High School is a four-year school that offers curricular and extracurricular programs to over 900 students of grades nine through 12. It offers classes in English, mathematics, science, social studies, arts and physical education. The school s foreign language department provides education in various languages, such as French, Spanish and Latin. Its library has a wide collection of fiction and nonfiction books, subject books, magazines, and reference material for teachers. Avon High School provides various sports programs, including cheerleading, cross county, field hockey, football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, ice hockey, swimming, wrestling, golf and lacrosse. The school s parent-teacher organization supports various programs for students, teachers and parents. The high school is a part of Avon School District.
