I was here when I was a teenager. I was abused at Austin State Hospital. Charles Fischer a child psychiatrist who used to work here was convicted of child molestation and fired. Most of the kids here are from single parents. Some of them are here for self mutilation. Most teens outgrow self mutilation there's studies on this. Austin State Hospital is state funded. Medicaid pays for 70 % of antipsychotics. These drugs have high noncompliance rates. Another tax waste.
