Lelli's Inn

I have been to this place around 5 times over the past 2 years with groupon and it satisfies me everytime. Service can be a li questionable sometimes,but overlal its good enough and the Manager Rick is a good guy and seems caring to all the customers. Thanks

THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN A SO CALLED FINE DINING!



What a nightmare....The decor is outdated is your first impression. For a $300.00 meal, the food and service must be phenomenal. NO! Anything but. The Waiter was arrogant and condescending he did however ask if we wanted a drink, then did not see him for thirty minutes he had an opportunity to sell us an appetizer but we were not given that opportunity. At 7:00 on a Saturday it was not very busy so that was not an excuse. Our two other guests arrived and we ordered Lelli's Famous Chateaubriand ( all medium) after the soup and salad were rushed and almost thrown at us. All the carrots were cold, one of the Chateaubriand was very undercooked was sent back and came back like leather with more food added to the plate (green beans) what! When we just had enough we asked for the manager who came over and was apologetic however, I really did not find him sincere. He offered to take the one Chateaubriand off the bill, but upcharged us for around $20.00 when asked the female server( as we never saw a waiter after we spoke to the manager) She said it was a set up charge for the salads and soup..... when asked why should we be penalized for your kitchen mess up? She had no answer at that point we were done. We all made the decision to NEVER RETURN!

Oh it gets better. I have a brand new car not five hundred miles on it and get ready............... when the valet brings it to me someone had the nerve to smoke in it! Who is running this horse and pony show !



SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! There are great places to eat and this is not one of them!

Bad experience due to snooty waiter. Ruined our over $100 dinner and our 2 hrs there. He treated us like low class and I can only guess that it was because we were not formally dressed (but we were dressed business casual). The only reason I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was excellent, but I will never go back.

Our waiter was wonderful and took the extra time to cater to our daughter so that she could have "the complete Lelli's experience." I have never had the type of service he provided us, which made for an exceptional meal. The manger, however, was a different story. He seated us, but never greeted us. He visited the tables surrounding us to check on the patrons, but skipped us. Perhaps it was because my husband and I were dressed business casual compared to others who had ties and suits on. That was the impression it left us with, by being ignored not only once at the door but also at our table. Thankfully, our waiter did not share his ignorance and received a 35% tip as a result of his dedication to the ultimate customer service!

We were searching for a casual atmosphere but great food when driving back home from our place up north. We were in the mood for italian. I searched with my phone for italian restaurants near our home and started to read reviews. Our options were limited so we decided on Lelli's Inn, though there seemed to be multiple poor reviews. I said to my husband, "No one hesitates to post the bad reviews and rarely do people take the time to post the great reviews, so let's try it.". I"M VERY GLAD WE DID!! When the wait staff found out we had never dined there before they went over the top. They had us try various menu items, like an appetizer and dessert, at no charge, and the portion sizes were generous. The food was amazing and no doubt we'd go back in a second!! I wanted to take the time to write the rave review so the negative didn't shadow the the shine this place has to offer. GREAT FOOD and a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

A stones throw from the shuttered Silverdome, They do a great job of trying to reproduce the formal setting of the original Lelli's in Detroit (that burned down in the early 1990's I believe) The famous beef is awesome here with the accompanying zip sauce. Vast selection of fish, veal, chicken and homemade pasta dishes. Great wine list as well. Expect a long seating because the service is traditional (5/6 courses) The staff is seasoned, prompt and courteous. Dress nice and bring your wallet. This place is expensive!!$$
