Studio Dance Academy

This studio has no idea what it means to service a customer. My 8 year old had a teacher who admittedly told them they were "terrible, horrible, shouldn't even be dancing" etc... When I asked for a change of teachers because my child cried to and from class every time, I was told no and kicked out for questioning them. We had prepaid for the year and still have had no success getting that money back. The poor technique is not close to being worth the mistreatment that both parents and students receive here. So many places that are better on all levels!

I would not recommend Studio Dance Academy to anyone looking at a dance studio. I have never been treated this poorly in a customer service situation than I have by the owners here. It seemed to me like they simply wanted to take my money and ignore any questions or concerns that I had. When I had a question about costumes, I was told to not contact them again unless it was a safety concern. While we are at it, let's talk about costumes...they ordered at least half of their costumes for the winter recital from DISCOUNT Dance Supply, while we paid her $50 for them. While it is customary to mark up costumes to account for the teacher's time and shipping, these costumes were marked up by at least 100% and were of horrible quality. They also switched locations in the middle of the year, yet failed to give refunds for prepaid items (costumes that have not been ordered) to those who couldn't make it to the new location. Their new location has no waiting room for parents, as I think they view parents as an inconvenience. The rooms are tiny and separated by a curtain in some instances. Finally, my daughter's tap dance was not finished and they had to finish choreographing it on stage at the tech rehearsal. It's unfortunate they chose to run their business and treat their customers this way.
