Three of us arrived for a reservation at 8:30, got seated right away,

The ambience is warm, classy,. It's a great place for a group as well as a romantic dinner for two.



Greeks are the most giving & welcoming people I've ever met and they really know how to make you feel at home.



Now onto the food.

We ordered a few appetizers to share which were absolutely divine. The pikilia (assortment of dips) were to die for! As was the Ikoumeniki salad with figs and goat cheese.



For our mains we shared the Black sea bass which was cooked to perfection and the seafood platter which was out of this world.



The waiter also brought us complimentary home made Greek yogurt(yum)

Loukoumi Greek taverna restaurant in astoria ny We went to this Greek restaurant the other nights with our friends who had highly recommended it. Once inside we were warmly greeted by the owner and staff. The restaurants decor is warm. We had ordered an assortment of appetizers and three entrees to share. Everything we ordered was amazing. My favorite was a red snapper fish which was prepared grilled with a side order of horta, one of the best fish dishes i have ever eaten. The meal ended with an assortment of Greek deserts – a cornmeal cake dipped in honey, greek yogurt with walnuts drizzled in honey and a file pastry filled with a creamy custard.



Our whole experience was awesome and would definitely go back and i highly would recommend Loukoumi Greek taverna restaurant to others.

I Highly recommend this quaint homestyle greek restaurant. Staff is extremley nice. The house wine is great and cost effective. My favorites are the loukaniko, chicken-ke-bob, porgy, lemon potatoes, string beans and on...
