Jewels That Dance

This Jeweler cracked our diamond when we returned for the second time in 3 months to have the setting tightened. They took the ring to the back of the store for about 20 min and then came up and told my fiancee the stone was cracked. We thought this was unusual, so we immediately took it to 2 different jewelers. Both jewelers confirmed that it was cracked when being tightened by the wrong tool. The tool they were using left gouges in the ring. Jewels That Dance of course denied any possibility that they did it...also, not offering anything other than telling us to call our insurance company. No good for us since it was an engagement ring and we hadn't thought to insure it yet. We contacted the better business bureau, but their not a member. Make sure your jewelry has insurance if you want these people to work on it!

It's a nice looking store and one of the saleswomen seemed knowledgable. They helped us get what we wanted and we left the store happy. HOWEVER, the following Monday we received a call saying that the price of my wedding band has gone up by $100 because the price of gold fluctuated upwards when they placed my order(25% increase in one day!!!). We were told none of this at the time of purchase and since when do you jack up the price on something after you sign a contract? They repeated this same scam with my fiance's wedding ring. These people are rip-off's and will nickle and dime you to death. They are taking advantage of customers ignorance of the gold prices. To them a signed contract means nothing. You're better off buying something from one of the Mall jewelry stores.

I would never recommend jewels that dance, I felt like they didnt listen to what I really wanted and I am not satisfied with what I got. I feel like I could have gotten the same if not better service from a generic jewelry store for less money. I only spent a few hundred dollars and I feel like they didnt value me because I wasnt a high-end client. In short I will never go back and I would never recommend them!
