Carpet One Floor & Home - Asheville

I purchased Vinyl flooring from Pearlman’s Carpet One on August 29, 2011, for three rooms. It was installed September 22nd through September 26, 2011. I felt the vinyl was not installed properly; I contacted Pearlman’s, they sent an inspector to the house in January. The inspector looked at one room and left. I e-mailed pictures of the poor workmanship of the vinyl to Ed Israel the owner of Pearlman’s on February 24, 2012. I received an e-mail from him on March 5, 2012 requesting when it would be convenient to meet with me .I e-mailed him back stating I would be available March 8th or March 9th. I did not receive a reply from him. I e-mailed him on March 22nd and asked him if he had any intentions of correcting the vinyl and the closet that his installers broke?

Mr. Isreal stated he would schedule someone to come out and install the vinyl correctly. I received another e-mail from Mr. Isreal April 3rd requesting if it would it be alright if his men came out on April 4th instead of April 5th as scheduled. His men were in Maggie Valley and it would save on gas due to the prices. I stated, he had not replied to my e-mail so I was not aware an appointment had been scheduled. Again I did not receive a reply from him. I did receive a call from Brian, the installer stating he was not in Maggie Valley and asked if he could come out Friday morning April 6th to complete the job. I told him that would be ok. Pearlman’s installers did not show up on Friday, April 6th.

On April 10th I received an e-mail from Ed Israel stating, “When will be a convenient day for us to come and make the necessary repairs? We’ll need about a week’s notice to schedule”.

I purchased the Vinyl flooring on August 29, 2011 and they started the installation on September 22nd . Pearlman’s Carpet One received payment. I think seven months is plenty of time for this business to complete the job. I think I have been fair and patient.

Pearlman’s finally completed the job April 20, 2012.

I would not recommend this business to anyone unless you have months to deal with the company and their installers.
