Tree Removal

Stump Grinding and Removal
Stump removal for any size tree stump. We can remove your stump when we cut down your tree, or you can call us at a later date for stump removal. You can even call us if you have had the tree removed by someone else and would like us to remove the tree stump only.
Crown Reduction
Crown Reducing is a method of reducing a trees height and width by a certain percentage or footage. Topping is not a recommended pruning method, unless there is a safety factor such as a large dead or dying tree. Crown Reduction is usually performed on a tree that is prevalent to storm damage, leaning toward a structure, or a tree that has outgrown the area it was planted in. Drop Crotch pruning is an acceptable method that results in a crown reduction by cutting the longest ‘terminal’ branch on a limb, and leaving the shorter ones on that same branch.

Thunderstorms or ice storms can cause major damage to your trees. High winds or heavy ice can break tree limbs or topple large trees onto your property or even your home at any time. You may not even think there is anything wrong with your trees in your yard but its always a good idea to get a professional evaluator to come out to your property to take a look and give there professional opinion and estimate before the storm or storms hit your area.
Tree Planting
There are about 40 tree varieties most common to our area, some of the most common are Tulip Poplar, Elm, Beech, Sycamore, Gum, Linden, Maple, Oak, Dogwood, Cherry, Pear, Magnolia, Locust, Hickory, Chestnut, and Walnut. These are deciduous hardwoods, other evergreens such as Cypress, Holly, Spruce, Hemlock, and Eastern White Pine are also very prevalent in our area. One of my favorite native trees is a Yellowwood. It has smooth yellowish bark, a very nice canopy, and does not get very tall. Another nice choice for planting is a Sourwood tree. Sourwood trees are native to our area, very low maintenance, only get approximately 30-40', and gorgeous. Perfect for an all purpose tree.

Crown cleaning a trees canopy consists of pruning dead & diseased limbs, excess branches, and crossing or rubbing limbs out of the crown of a tree. Each tree may require more or less work depending on many factors such as proximity of tree to resources, tree location, and tree species. An arborist can assess a tree to determine the branches that should be trimmed.
Land Clearing
A fall clean up consists of debris and leaf removal services, a final weeding, pruning plants and shrubs and garden clean up.
Tree Mulching
We own and rent many different sized machines to handle stumps that are extremely large in size, or are located on a sloped hill, or a stump that is wedged in a narrow surrounding. We can leave the tree stump wood chips piled up for you to re-use as mulch, or haul them away for an extra charge.
