I had laser hair removal done at Aptos Medical Arts. I was not happy with the way that I was treated and would never use go there again. I had laser hair removal on my bikini area .In this initial consultation, the technician informed me that she would show the specific area treated and make “touch ups” (additional laser hair removal treatment) to areas I felt needed more attention. The service performed was not as described during the initial consultation. During the initial consultation, the technician described the area in which hair would be removed. After the treatment (service), I had asked the technician to specifically show me the area which had been treated and which had not. At that time, the technician used a non-medical pen (ballpoint pen both she and I was using for paperwork on a nearby unsanitized desk) and drew a “crooked” line on the area where she thought she had performed the laser hair removal procedure. When I was not satisfied with that area the technician described by the “crooked” line, she then drew a “new line” and said, “Maybe the area was here instead.” This told me that the technician was unsure of the area which she had actually treated. In the week to come, as the hair started growing back, it was clear to me that the area was “crooked” and the technician had treated a much smaller area than what she had shown/described. In addition, within the treated area, there were areas in which she had clearly not performed the laser hair removal. Lastly, the technician used two different settings on the left and right sides of the treatment area, leaving the hair uneven.





During the initial consultation and time of payment, the technician explained that she could be contacted with any questions I may have. When I called with the concerns as stated above, no one returned my phone calls/messages. To this day I have never had anybody call me back. Since then I have found another laser hair removal technician. I have been very happy with my new technician.
