        Had the pleasure of meeting the staff today at the Calhoun County Animal Control. I went in for snip it coupon and was told it was at the County Commissioners Office in Anniston. So I asked if I could look around and they gave me open house to the facility and ended up bringing home 2 female cats to join our family. The sanitation and cleanliness for the facility was remarkably well maintained as staff members were very delightful giving me the background checks and names for my pets of interest I wanted to adopt. Talking to one of the staff personnel was heartbreaking as she was attached to a Calico Cat Named Callie I was interested in but she stated all she wanted was for each pet to go to a good home and have a loving relationship with their new owners as after awhile our pets become our family. If you ever decide to adopt a pet to your family please consider adopting one from a shelter or control center there are many that need someone to love them.

        Do Not believe anything the Calhoun County Animal Control tells you about them being a humane place to bring animals to!!!!! I had to mov from the house I had lived in for 30 years to an apartment that only allowed 2 cats. I researched on line for a humane place that would help place my other 3 cats into new homes. I called the Calhoun County Animal Control and was assured that they did not put animals down unless they were very sick or vicious. I was told they work with cat rescue missions and that they found homes for the cats. So I brought my 3 babies that I could not move with me to them. I also brought paperwork showing all 3 had been fixed and were up to date on their shots. I was told this would help in adopting them out. TEN days later, I called to check on them and was told all 3 got sick and had to be put down! That was a lie because my babies had NEVER been sick with me and weren't there long enough to get that sick either!!! PLEASE BE FOREWARNED!!1 NO HUMANITY THERE!!
