Earth Wisdom Music

I encountered Earth Wisdom Music at a national conference for psychotherapists 5 years ago. I've been back to the conference most years since, and every time I look forward to visiting the EWM booth. Minda Hart has the BEST T-shirts I have ever seen collected in one place - the funniest, wisest, most beautiful, most irreverent. First, the shirts are all top quality. You can get funny stuff on CafePress.com, but the quality there is crap - the designs are obviously pixellated and blown up way farther than the original images can ever support, and the shirts themselves vary both in thickness/quality and in size range.



Not so Earth Wisdom Music's T-shirts! Most come in a huge range of sizes, they are all of solid, quality cotton, and the funny things they say and depict are always designed for a T-shirt and look great. They also last practically forever. I must own about 2/3 of Minda's selection of funny T-shirts, and all are still wearable . . . despite getting a LOT of wear, over the past 5 years. The comments and depictions are also among the funniest I have ever seen, anywhere, and I include on CafePress.com, whose primary (only?) real advantage is the ability to search thousands of motifs at one time. Nope. EWM's shirts are *still* funnier, wiser, more pithy, more moving. I've worn a lot myself and have given many as gifts - I even buy them in March, when the conference is held, for the next Christmas. (My mother-in-law got the one with a cartoon of the Dalai Lama opening an empty box and exclaiming with joy, "Just what I always wanted! Nothing!!") Even if I've seen or heard the joke elsewhere (very rarely), EWM's shirts make them look *great.* Minda is also helpful and friendly and tries to help you lay your hands on just the size you want.



They aren't all funny; some are beautiful hand-painted works of art, or feature gorgeous Celtic embroidery or designs. Regardless - the T-shirts are all top quality and truly several cuts above even a good T-shirt.



And that's just the T-shirts! Minda also offers an incredible selection of handmade, hand-painted silk and silk velvet and sometimes beaded jackets, capes, dusters, and scarves, in some of the loveliest colors and configurations I've ever seen. She has a wide range, from the small silk scarf you can't resist, all the way up to serious wearable-art formalwear. (Yes, I own several of these too.) Her burnout-velvet peacock scarves and wraps are simply gorgeous. Again, the quality is absolutely top-of-the-line, and the items are things you can wear for years. They aren't the current fashion - they are timeless.



I haven't even mentioned the music!! The truth is, in a conference setting, where I can see and stroke and drool over the sumptuous, silky, jewel-toned fabrics and laugh over the T-shirts, the CD cases really don't stand a chance. Next year! Next year!
