The Bridal Connection

NOT HAPPY!

I tried on a dress in the shop and it fit perfectly around the upper waist. The staff member said that she would order the size that I tried on and the only things that will need to be altered would be the shoulders and the hem of the dress. When the new dress came in it took 2 people to zipper the dress. SO, they said that it would have to altered around the upper waist. (Makes no sense, it should have fit the same as the dress I tried on). A different staff member told me that the dresses in the shop tend to get stretched out with all of the people that try them on so that is why the dress fit that I had tried on. The alterations were OUTRAGEOUS, PLUS....it was $30.00 more to have Bridal Connections steam the wrinkles out of it!! After purchasing a dress that was approximately $250.00 the steaming should be COMPLIMENTARY!!



Instead I looked up a local person that does alterations. She is wonderful and she STEAMS the dress after if is altered and does NOT charge extra. I told her what I was told about the dress at the shop getting stretched out and she told me that they do not know what they are talking about....chiffon does NOT stretch and my dress is chiffon!



Before purchasing anything at Bridal Connections ask ALOT of questions! All of the Bridal stores that I called stated that the steaming is complimentary! The cost of the alterations done by the person I took my dress to was reasonable and I would recommend her to anyone!!

Alterations are over priced and not one staff member knows what they are doing. The owners could care less about the bride. It's all about the $$$. They will give you a millions excuses if they mess something up. What makes you qualified to run a bridal store? I'd like to see some proof of customer service experience. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF!

My consultant was great! She was very helpful and she helped me find my perfect gown. I just want to thank the Bridal Connection so much for helping me with my bridal gown shopping experience and making it an experience that I will not ever forget. I want to recommend the Bridal Connection to any and all brides. I love that they have The Connection just next door to help me with tuxes and my bridesmaids dresses. The Bridal Connection just made my experience stress free and as easy as I could imagine.

My experience at the Bridal Connection was amazing! The staff made me, my family, and my bridesmaids feel very welcomed. I didn't know what to expect because this was my first time wedding dress shopping and I was very nervous because my weight had been fluctuating in the past year. My consultant made me feel so comfortable and beautiful in every dress that she put me in. It was very hard to pick just one! In the end I picked the perfect dress and I looked amazing on my wedding day thanks to The Bridal Connection.

SO FUN! I was honestly expecting to be a little overwhelmed when I went there to look for my prom dress. but I had such a fun time! the staff was not pushy at all and i had such a fun time trying on dresses! i was not limited in my selection and i could try on as many as i wanted! i made two of my best friends go there to pick out their dress just so i could come again :) definately reccommend this place!

I would like to start with how awesome the Bridal Connection has been. I have purchased my gown from the Bridal Connection and all of my bridesmaids, tuxes and flower girls dresses from The Connection. The staff has been more helpful than I could have ever asked for! AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!

Since ordering my gown in October of last year, I have had nothing but the best service from this store. My mom and me went to quite a few stores around Iowa, but the Bridal Connction has always treated me as a very special person and called me about my appointments and always greeted me with a smile when I came in. My wedding was a huge success, even after the wedding the owner called and asked how everything went. - Angel B.

Their card states 'Rush weddings welcome.' I would not agree. I went in two months prior to my wedding to order my bridemaids dresses and would told there would not be a problem ordering the styles we wanted.



Two weeks later I get a call advising that the dresses would not be in on time, due the entire country of China being off for Chinese New Year. Outrageous.



After I went out and purchased fabric so my future husband and I could make the dresses ourselves, they called and stated they would get the dresses two weeks prior to my big day. Not ideal, but better.



The two weeks prior came and went and we actually did not get the dresses until the Monday before the wedding. Luckily only one dress needed altering or it really would have caused problems.



Then, after all this, they sold they veil they promised they would hold for me and charged me to steam my dress.



Although we did come in on short notice, there were still many places for good customer service that were overlooked.



If you do choose this shop, please be forewarned to give yourself plenty of time. Rush weddings are clearly not welcome here.
