Andover Veterinary Clinic

This review is for my experience with Dr. Aluise. Upon entering you will get a warm welcome where the clinic will take the time to remember your pets' names. Dr. Aluise is kind, thorough, a great listener and truly compassionate towards his clients and their pets. He is very knowledgeable in medicine and informative to make sure your pet is well-cared for. This isn't your average pushy, arrogant doctor that throws medical terminology as a weapon against you. You can tell if your vet shows pride in their work or is just going through the motions and "processing" your pet. For a reasonable price, rest be assured that your family pets will be genuinely and professionally well-cared for.

My wife and I have been taking our pets to Andover Veterinary Clinic for about five years and have received exceptional service. They earned a place in our heart and our loyalty in how they have helped our German Shorthair Pointer Lucky. They diagnosed her with lymphoma and kindly laid out all the options for us. We were not rushed but genuinely treated with care and compassion. My wife and I have not been blessed with children and we found her wounded shortly after getting married. She is our four legged child :) Hearing the news was devastating but they have helped so much. As long as I have pets they will be our vets. Thank you Dr. Jon and Dr. Cathy!

Receptionists very friendly and helpful. In previous appointments, Dr. Timothy Harmon was very sensitive and caring towards my pets and answered all my questions patiently. He looked out for my best interests and worked with my budget, not charging up every little detail he did.

Dr. Cathy Harmon was unpleasant, rushed through my appointment, and was not even going to bring my dog into the private room to look at my dog. After realizing he really did need attention…"well I guess bring him back to a room"…she did not close the exam door. I even asked if she wanted me to close it and she did not respond. A few minutes later the veterinary assistant came to my rescue and showed some compassion and professionalism. She closed both doors and kneeled next to my dog concerned for his health. Dr. Cathy Harmon did a horrible job at gluing his wound close and did not even check to see if the glue had closed his wound then went ahead and charged me $90 after putting a wrap over his leg and told me to come back in two weeks. She glued her finger to my dogs hair and had to yank it out of his hair near his laceration. I was tempted to take the glue and do it myself. Needless to say, the glue did not work. When the receptionist rang me up I told her the glue did not work and did not think I should be billed that much for a bandage. She went back to ask Dr. Cathy Harmon and came back to tell me she would take $7 off my bill. I don't mind paying the $30 for antibiotics and 3 pain reliever tablets, but I will not be returning to this clinic.

Being a registered nurse, I never would have acted this way towards one of my patients. It takes a lot for me to make a complaint. I hope no one else has to experience this frustration.

the cat that my husband and i had found as a stray and took in had some early problems that required a lot of work ! with our cat's doctor, his patience, kindness and determination we found out what was wrong with her and treated accordingly. Now she is a healthy 1 year old Kitty ! The Staff At The Andover Vet Clinic Is Wonderful !

Dr Burks and Dr Eberle are Fantastic. However, I have had bad experiences with the Drs Harmon, and wish to never see them again.

This family run business is very friendly and has been around since the 70s. We boarded our dog there for years, knowing they were taking very good care of her.
