Papa John's Pizza

I'm from out of town and I'm in Anderson for business. I called the store and was immediately put on hold, that's fine I understand you get busy at supper time. 5 minutes later, when the guy answered to take my order, I had to repeat everything 3 times because he'd interupt me by saying "hold on" in the middle of my sentence. I finally got through ordering to find out that there's an hour and a half delivery wait time. I said I'm sorry I can't wait that long, go ahead and cancel that order, only to get hung up on.

Now, I understand that pizza joints get busy, and people get put on hold, but be more professional. Act like you want my business. I also understand delivery times can get a little big for the evening rush. Hire more drivers, let customers know the wait is outrageous when they tell you they need to place an order for delivery. Nobody wants to wait a hour and a half for a $16 pizza. And definitely don't hang up on people because they're not willing to wait. I won't be ordering from them any time I come back to Anderson.

I ordered online then realized when I was done that I had selected delivery instead of pick-up. I called the store to correct my mistake, and the woman who answered the phone gave me a discount! For apparently no reason, she saved me about $5. I was very excited!!

I work late nights so I often have to order out. I order from this Scatterfield store and am told my pizza will arrive in 40min. I hadn't eaten all day so my mouth was watering and my tummy was rumbling by the 40min mark. I call up there and am told the driver is running late, so I hang up and wait another 30min! After which, the guy is still a no show... I call again and the line is busy, so I wait another 20min. I get put on hold for ten minutes then I ask for the manager. He says the guy had already come by and I didn't answer the door.



Now, you have to understand the layout of my workplace to get the full effect but my desk is ten steps from the door (which wasn't even locked) and there isn't any noise when you're the only one in the office. I can hear every car that passes by and every conversation pedestrians have. There is literally no way I could have 'missed' him.



So, I tell him I want my frickin pizza remade and sent up ASAP. The manager says to me, "Well, we don't deliver this late." I ordered MORE THEN TWO HOURS ago! At this point all the other places are closed and I am stuck at work starving. I know at this point I am no longer being polite but I am frustrated with the way I have been brushed off, then he cuts me off in the middle of my sentence and says he will credit my checking account for the amount, yey! Another brush off with a hint of anger. Lovely.



So I worked the rest of my 12hr shift drinking water from the water cooler and eating some little packs of saltines I found in the fridge. Yum. All because I got the run around from this place. I haven't ordered from them since. And my friends don't call them either.



I really wish they would just said from the beginning that the guy had supposedly come already or they could have even told me they didn't feel like delivering my pizza. That way I could have ordered from another pizza place and actually had the opportunity to eat that day.
