Tom-just a quick note regarding todays servicing of my 14kw Generac. Dakota arrived promptly on time and his demeanor was professional at all times. He explained what needed to be done, completely fielded my questions, was very courteous, including wearing a mask when in the house to check proper functioning of ATS et al. You may be assured that I'll be a "regular customer" and also recommending Lou's Electric of Amsterdam whenever an occasion arises.

I'm an HVAC Tech at Lou's Electric and have been for a little over 5 years now. The company I work for is a small family owned business that tries it's best to satisfy everyone in the order we get calls in. At the moment they have 5 electricians and only 2 HVAC Tech's (That's including me). We have are busy times of the year and every job just blurs by, but as Lou's Electric employee's we try are best to be professional and efficient as possible . I didn't give Lou's 5 stars because I believe every company has room for improvement, but I also believe we are better then most.

Big relief. The furnace in Laura's apartment was acting up. The repair guy from Lou's Electric was just here and luckily it was just the Thermocouple that controls the pilot light. He had it replaced in 15 minutes. Thank Goodness is wasn't the valve body / control ( a big bucks item ). Very pleased with Lou's quick response and resonable price. I highly recommend Lou's Electric if you have electric or furnace problems ! Their number is ( 518 ) 842-3672.

Several items were added to my bill that should not have been. The owner claimed that something was stolen from my property after he gave me a quote, which it was not, I was charged for a damaged part before he discussed it with me, and some of the work I hired them for was never completed. The work was fine, and the electricians who came by to work were great, but my experience with the company was poor. After waiting for the incomplete work to be finished for over a month, they tacked on finance charges! They were completely inflexible about resolving any problem. The whole experience was uncomfortable and difficult. Their unwillingness to address my concerns and the sheer number of issues that came up are not reflective of a company I would feel comfortable recommending. I had so many problems, I'd like to write a longer review like I have on other sites, but I'm limited to just this space. Overall, my experience with Lou's Electric of Amsterdam was extremely poor.
