I very much agree with the previous commenter. Very slow internet, and it's not even a reasonable price. The only reason that price is payed is because it's this or no internet.

Not to mention. Their "tech guys" if you can call them that, must be know nothings that they teach to plug in routers, and turn them on. They know nothing about networking, and nothing about troubleshooting. My internet was hooked up while I wasn't around. They said they couldn't figure out why my computer couldn't connect to the wireless. The only problem, which I quickly figured out, is that windows firewall was on. Seriously, if you can't catch that, are you really a "tech guy."
So, if Amherst Telephone Company is your only option, then yes, struggle through it, otherwise, don't do it.
And the instillation man, Otto, does a real hack job when installing internet.

I would have gave this a 0 but the tech guy made up for it. There is a certain employee who has no customer service or communication skills. This has been a problem that I have found out all of my family members have had along with others in the community. Not only is she rude, she thinks she knows what you have in your house. The company obviously will not do anything about it, which is unacceptable in my opinion. They should teach her communication skills and also what her job is as she does not know much and has been there for along time. The service is so rude that it can ruin your day for awhile. I do not usually post bad reviews like this, but this is not excuseable.

I'm not judging the veracity of the previous reviewers, but my experience with this company has been excellent. The fiber optic, high-speed internet is fast beyond expectation, and it is often that visitors to my home (out in the country) remark how much they would like to have the same ... and most of them live in urban areas.
