Avoid this place like the plague. I took my car in to get an oil change (which I found out they did incorrectly), and was told that my rear brakes were down to 1/32nd and needed to be replaced asap (which i found out was a lie to scam me into paying for unnecessary repairs and I have a safety inspection certificate from a month later showing that they are at 4/32nds). I brought my car back 3 times over the next 2 weeks, between noon-1:30 pm and was told each time that they were too busy to do the job that day (even with 5-6 hours left in the work day) and I should come back another day. I gave up and went elsewhere only to find out that the brakes were fine.

They screwed up my oil change causing my car to leak oil and be close to bone dry after a month.

They lied about the condition of my breaks to get me to pay for unnecessary repairs.

And they wasted my time while I was trying to get those repairs done.

Incompetent, dishonest, and inconsiderate: quite the triple threat.

Watch your bill!!! So dishonest! My son went in to get his breaks changed and they came back saying that he should get his rotors changed as well. He told them, NO, only my breaks and oil changed. When he went to pick up his car up they had put on new rotors and charged him a extra $400. After some discussion they finally said they would put his old rotors back on and not charge him for the rotors but they were closing and he would have to pick his car up the next day. So, when he went back to pick up the his car they had charged him $15 a rotor to put his rotors back on!!!???? $60. So, after more discussion they took off the $60. Then we went over the bill and saw they had tacked on additional $29.87 for supplies???? What? come on!! really? They argued that they had already helped him out by subtracted the $60 they had charged him for putting his rotors back on that he never asked to be removed!!!! They refused to subtract the $30 that he has no idea what that was for. We will never return or recommend this company to any one. Awful experience!!!

I received EXCELLENT service at Big O Tires in American Fork (748 E State Street Location). I ran into a little emergency (picked up a stowaway hitch pin with my tire) on the road after work… I realized this problem when I parked outside of my house. At that point, most tire shops were closed (trust me, I called a lot looking for someone that could help me NOT wake up to a flat in the morning). This Big O locations was also “technically” closed, but Parley answered the phone. He told me that he would stay open to help me out so I didn’t have a bad day tomorrow. I got to their location ASAP, and he was very friendly. The service was fast (the technician, Trevor, was like lightening). No one grumbled about having to stay late, not once did I feel like an inconvenience. In fact, Parley was even willing to answer my (perhaps) silly questions about the tire patching process (I like to figure out how things work). I cannot emphasize this enough… it is an absolute rarity to find customer service like that anymore these days. This Big O location was the 6 tire shop that I called hoping to find help in my emergency… the others either did not answer or were quite clear in letting me know that they were closed for the day.
