Established in 1893, the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department is responsible for the protection of life and property in case of fire emergencies. It has a team of firefighters and paramedics to attend to various calls relating to fire accidents in the residential and commercial sectors. The department also has more than 50 professional men and women volunteers and serves over 50,000 people in the city of Alvin, Texas. The Alvin Volunteer Fire Department operates various fire stations to provide 24-hour emergency services in case of fire accidents and explosions. Additionally, the department operates special programs to provide education to the community residents regarding fire precautionary measures and safety tips in case of fire explosions. The Alvin Volunteer Fire Department is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and is located in Alvin, Texas.
