Hummus House

This place is special. It is run by good people who truly care if you liked your meal. They do more than make excellent food. Until I came here, I had no idea that a sandwich could be elevated to a piece of art. Everything is made with the kind of focus and attention to detail that I didn't think was humanly possible to lavish on a sub. My personal favorites include: the meatball parm sub made with fresh meatballs and crusty bread that never gets soggy and the BLTC which is hot crispy bacon on a bagel with melted cheese, tomato, homemade dressing and lettuce. My husband loves the Spicy Big Boy Italian which is loaded with spicy turkey and other boarshead meats, and layered with tomato and cheese and peppers and the amazing garlic spread they make themselves. Everything, I repeat, everything, is made fresh. Try the sundried tomato hummus, it's outstanding. The drip coffee is really, really good, and combined with the homemade pastry is worth a trip by itself. I dream of the middle eastern donuts. My advice: Come and be patient, as everything is made fresh, and be open to trying new things, as the menu is constantly expanding. Then prepare yourself for a true and increasingly rare treat in this mass produced, freezer burned world - food made by hand with love.
