Herb's Paint & Body #7 - Allen

I would give a zero star if I can. The estimate is way off and really sloppy in doing the estimate. Please don't bother to send here for estimate.
The service attitude is really bad. When you schedule the car in, you better bring it on the dot, cannot afford to be late. They don't even want to give me car rental even though I keep telling them I will pay for it even if the insurance don't pay for it. You can tell from body language that it's Thursday 4pm and they are not willing to turn on the computer and waiting to go home soon ! The service lady at the front desk is really make a lousy experience. Don't waste your time here, you would be served much better elsewhere !

I would avoid this place. They are very dishonest. They quoted used, after-market, and salvage replacement parts. I asked why not OEM parts from the manufacturer, they replied that insurance would not pay for that. I searched the internet and found numerous sites that sold OEM parts which were CHEAPER (at my retail pricing) than their quote for used parts. My insurance adjuster said that is part of their game to try to make a few more dollars. I can only image how poor their warranty and actual quality of repairs would be. Obviously I went elsewhere. I personally don't like to do business with a place that is taking advantage from my misfortune to be in a wreck.

A hail storm did over $9,000 of damage to my 2006 Honda Accord. Most body repair shops in the area were too busy to take on a new job. Herb's Paint and Body shop in Allen is a brand new facility my insurance company recommended. They worked directly with the insurance company when they found additional damage after the initial inspection. They got my car looking like new again! Since they repainted everything, even the small parking lot dings were taken out. They handled my job with professionalism and returned my car in less time than their estimate. The repairs have a life-time warranty. I asked for and got daily status calls on the progress of the repairs. Even though I didn't have to wait very long, if you have to wait, there are snacks and drinks in the waiting room. They even have a few activity toys for kids.
